It's basically a simplified Menchie's.A local brand, this FroZenYo is in the heart of the Columbia Heights shopping area, at the fountain courtyard across from DC USA (Target), feet away from Giant and the Metro. It's technically two establishments in one suite, where FroZenYo makes up the front of the suite, and the Boardwalk Fries kitchen occupies the back. So you're able to order from both.It's pay-by-weight at $0.74 an oz, so you'll wind up with at least $7 or $8 of froyo after taxes and tip with a modest cup. Unlike Menchie's or Frutti Tutti, the froyo comes out pretty large, which may shock you at first (in a good way). They had between 8 and 10 flavors, of which I chose vanilla and coconut. Naturally, two flavors share a stall, where a middle lever allows you to combine the two.The toppings area was the typical buffet style, with gummy bears, coconut, two types of M&Ms, whipped cream, cherries and other usual fare. But sprinkles and nuts were kept in the little pour jugs you'd get from Walmart, mainly due to the lack of space. So in all, they had over a dozen toppings.It's DC, so you're not really about to dine in a room that's only 10 feet wide. So naturally, none of the indoor seating was being used. But the service was typical for a froyo eatery: grab the size cup you want, pull the levers of the flavors/blends you want, dress it, set it on the scale at the checkout counter and ring it up! As mentioned, my modest cup came up to about $8 including tax and a 15% tip. So it's on par with any other froyo place I've been to. Hot fudge is also located at the front of the store.So in all, FroZenYo is your garden variety frozen yogurt shop squeezed into Washington real estate. It was 76 on the late Saturday afternoon, I had my short-shorts and rugby socks on enjoying my dessert, and I'm glad to have a great froyo spot right on the Metro!

This tasted like vacation. So delish. I only tried the frozen yogurt but the other food smelled great too. The frozen yogurt selection was exactly what I was hoping for and was DELISH! I had the tart kind, cheesecake, and mango, with boba and coconut shavings for toppings. I took my yogurt for a walk around the Columbia heights neighborhoods and it was fantastic vibes for a Tuesday night. It's pay by weight and self serve, btw, just how it should be! :)

I love this place. It's the closest thing I've found to having Pinkberry back. I miss Pinkberry?. Try the euro tart yogurt it's the best one. Also The staff here are really really nice especially If you leave generous tips. But they're still nice even if you don't ?

Haven't been here in years and was very excited to stop by got there and was disappointed on how low the variety of flavors are more topping smore than anything not like it use to be at all and it upsets my stomach even though I must say customer service was great
