People were rude. Milk tea was disgusting. Not worth a penny.
Originally wanted to go to Larry's, but their prices were too steep. Went here instead and regretted it. My milkshake was ice water, with little trace of milk. The woman taking my order acted like she was doing me a favor. She didn't offer us straws, napkins, or anything with our orders. If you're considering going here, don't.

On 6/7/19, I ate at Gelastissimo while visiting Washington, D.C from out of town. The employees were rude and the food was disgusting. I ordered a Jasmine Milk Tea and the tea tasted like soap. The tapioca boba was hard and when I spoke to their female employee, she simply shrugged and turned around. Secondly, I asked to speak to the manager and the woman continued to be rude and reply with “What about?”. I said “My boba is hard and my jasmine green tea tasted like soap.” She said that the boba was the same batch as everyone and although my two friends had gotten bubble tea and their boba was soft and normal. The phase “The customer is always right” was not implied here and the employee continued to be rude and a simply horrid person in terms of customer service and politeness. I will never be returning to this terrible establishment and I encourage all of you not to as well.

This was the worst place ever! My class was visiting DC and this looked good. I went there and ordered a tuna sandwich with icecream. I watched what they were doing behind the counter and as she pulled my sandwich out of the MICROWAVE she gave me a chicken sandwich. I figured the microwave thing was whatever but when I told her I ordered tuna she insisted that I ordered chicken and refused to give me what I ordered! It was gross but I could barely even taste it over how mad I was. Even if I did order chicken, which I 100% percent did not, it is just good customer service to give the customer what they want. They were so rude and the icecream was not very good. Terrible experience that ruined my whole day! Go here if you like rude employees, microwaved chicken, and melted icecream
I have had good Gelato and bad Gelato. The good Gelato is so good, it is like eating ice cream for the first time in your life. The bad Gelato makes you wish you just went to the grocery store and bought a pint of generic ice cream. I have to say, this place's "Gelato" was near the worse I have tasted. Definitely not worth the price they charge. They offer samples and seem to have other items that are probably good and the staff seems nice, but that Gelato needs to go away and just be replaced with standard ice cream. If you are from Italy and you visit DC and try this Gelato, I apologize... not all of America thinks Gelato should taste that bad.
Do not go out of your way to go here! The food was gross and the employees working here constantly made fun of the customers in line. They charged me for a medium, and gave me a small. When I pointed out the sign with their prices they told me the sign was wrong and both started to laugh at me.

Kids enjoyed an ice cream. Bit out of the way, nothing special but better than the street vendors.
