Delicious food! Relaxing atmosphere. No AC so you don’t need a sweater.

I visited Herbivore thinking it was a vegetarian restaurant—as the name strongly implies—but to my surprise, there were non-vegetarian items on the menu. That felt misleading and completely defeats the point of calling the place “Herbivore.”

I ordered the vegetarian biryani, which turned out to be nothing more than a bland veg pulao

To top it off, they added a 10% service fee to our bill—even though it was just the two of us dining. No one told us about it in advance, and there was no mention of it on the menu or anywhere visible. That lack of transparency was frustrating and felt sneaky.

Overall, the experience was a letdown—poor food, misleading name, and hidden charges. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and I won’t be returning.

Food quality is very bad.I had a stomach ache. They provide 2- 3 days back left over food..

Unhygienic kitchen. Food is precooked. You can see when you go to the bathroom. The bathroom is not clean either. Dont get fooled by name it is not a pure vegetarian restaurant. The name is deciving. The meat is fried in the same oil as vegetarian appetizers. One of the dishes was idli sambar. The idli was dry as it microwaved. One of the chutney was stale. The aloo paratha comes without pickle or chutney as you have to pay separately. This is the first indian restaurant that does this.

One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. First of all, the place is very humid and we couldn’t breathe inside so we had to sit outside. The food quantity is very less and doesn’t suffice a single person. Also, we were a group of 5, yet we were charged a service fee of 18% which i never heard of for small groups.Very disappointed with the total experience.

The quantities are very little. Our group of 5 people ordered Veg manchurian and got only 4 pieces! Expected much more according to the reviews in google but am very disappointed. The air conditioning was also not working in the middle of summer. The ventilation at the outdoor seating was also poor.

This is a good restaurant for having Vegetarian food. If you are reading this, I'd strongly recommend trying them. I liked the ambience, service and the food quality. They were welcoming and responsive. I couldn't tip them as I was in a rush, doing my bit by writing here.

We came with high expectations after reading the reviews. Butter chicken was great, vindaloo was amazing and spicy. The roti was disappointing, it was pre-cooked roti that was heated and served. Rice was a day old at least. To the owner, invest in better plates, they were disintegrating. These are not the right plates for indian food.

Had breakfast at Herbivore. Loved the kheer, but the rest of the food was just average. Might go back just for dessert!
