LOVED this place!! We stopped by for my sister's bachelorette party - she is vegetarian and sometimes has a hard time finding good vegetarian food where she lives, and she was so thrilled with this place.I had their Buffalo chick'n sandwich and honestly it was delicious. The employees there were so amazing and friendly. Really a solid fast casual place. Their sweet potato fries are also great too.

As someone who loves burgers and the environment, HipCityVeg is a paradise for me and I am so glad they have opened DC locations. I first ate there at their location in Philly and I was hooked. They have delicious vegan food, remarkable shakes, and their sweet potato fries are to die for. Not to mention that the staff is friendly and always happy to provide recommendations and the restaurant is always clean and welcoming. Even my meat eater friend that I took there said, "I keep forgetting this is vegan" as he ate his burger. At the end of the meal, I was able to put all packaging in the compost and leave with a smile on my face and a feeling that I was making the right decision on where to spend my money.

HipCityVeg is an oasis. Fast vegan food when you need it. Stop in for a quick bite to go or dine in if you have a minute. Everything I tried while in DC was worth getting a second time. I don't think you can go wrong.

This place is amazing! Even people who love to eat meat should go here--they won't taste the difference. I ordered the nuggets + fries and a kids chocolate milkshake. I couldn't even tell the nuggets were fake meat. The fries were sweet potatoe and the milkshake was amazing! I will definitely go here and bring friends along too. That's how I made it out here, actually!

HipCityVeg is one of my favorite places for lunch and it's actually affordable (imo). My coworker didn't know that she wasn't eating meat. That's how convincing HipCityVeg is and how they are able to master their flavors! My favorite is the Crispy Hipcity Ranch - it really does taste like chicken and I ate it so fast because it was delicious. Just say "yes" to the sweet potato fries as well. The food does keep me full for hours. My coworkers were divided on the nuggets - some liked it, others thought they were quite bland. The basic b and ziggy burger are good options too. Ordered online twice recently and had no issues at all!

The sweet potato fries are tasty, and the vegan chicken is the closest to the real thing in fast food that we've tried. 100% recommended if you're looking for fast food style vegan eats. As a plus, they also have salads for healthier eaters.
Great all vegan where the food is amazing and the people are even better! Super helpful and they craft the most sublime burgers. Best origional burger I've had, and the 2nd best on my personal burger list! Milkshakes are great to with seasonal flavors available.

I must say this is truly the best veggie burger I have ever tasted in DC! Additionally Kyle and Chris were just incredible! The food is just amazing as well as the customer service! I think this is my new favorite place. (Burger was ate before I could take a picture of it)

The door was so loud and squeaky everyone sitting by it got up and moved. Like ear-piercing, nails on chalk board. The food was pretty quick, the BFG smoothie took longer but it was delicious. The sweet potato fries with the aioli were delicious. The chikn wrap (fajita I think?) was not good. No flavor. Very bland. I’d come back to try something else on the menu but take it to-go.

Was looking to try vegan spot in the DC area and Yelp highly recommended HipCityVeg. I went to the location in DuPont Circle so if you're driving, be prepared to find street parking around there. I ended up getting takeout and got the Philly steak with sweet potato fries. I definitely enjoyed my meal! Got me full fast and flavorful too. If one thing I could change, it would be to remove mushrooms (not the biggest fan) but overall enjoyed the meal and plan to go back!!! So if you're looking for a new vegan spot with variety of options that aren't boring, this is the spot!
