Came here and got the birria tacos. Are they pricey? Yes, but it's worth it. Even better is the Ruben's Hot Sauce. It packs a punch, but it's delicious. I'd take a pic of my food but I already scarfed it all
Looking for legit Mexican food in DC? Go to Ruben’s! No offense to District Taco and Surfside Tacos, but coming from LA, I was very disappointed with those options. Chipotle is fairly basic. And I’m not a big fan of any Mexican fusion spot (not naming names). But Ruben’s is authentic and hits the spot. Highly recommend!

Really tasty quesadillas and tacos! Sauces are also delish; nice heat on the hot sauce. A very, very nice server brought everything over and checked on us a few times. It’s nice to support a family owned business. We will definitely be back, and next time we’ll try the birria tacos!
