After discovering a year ago, we have become loyal regulars at I'm Eddie Cano. This is a fantastic neighborhood restaurant serving up incredible Italian/Roman food. The carbonara is the most authentic this side of the Atlantic. It is a wonderful family run restaurant, with season menus, and excellent wine and cocktails. The service is good, and always a pleasure to chat with Massimo. I have to stop myself coming weekly, but we have to drop by at least once a month

If you are looking for real Italian food (not the americanized one) this is the place! Homemade pastas, simple but delicious sauces, great selection of Italian wines, great service…just go and enjoy yourself.

Went to the restaurant to order takeout. Ordered 2 Caesar salads and 1 order of garlic bread. The Caesar salad portion was ridiculously small, the portion of a small size brown takeout box you’d get to bring leftovers home. Was also charged for 2 garlic breads orders instead of 1. (Also a 20% charge for hospitality, that’s my bad for not reading the fine print but $60 for two tiny portions of salad + a soda and 4 pieces of garlic bread is… something).

This review is about 6 years overdue. I’ve been coming to Eddie Cano’s since their opening and it has remained my favorite restaurant in D.C. They may be the only restaurant in the states that does not overcook their pasta!! Highlights: the fried zucchini; the spaghetti alle vongole; the pasta al nero di seppia; the wine list; and the chance to talk to Massimo and Caroline, who will stop by your table and chat. I love this little restaurant, I love its food and its relaxed, happy atmosphere. Come with a party of 10 or come alone and eat at the bar, Massimo will take care of you.

We have had several wonderful meals here, several lunches, a few great dinners including a special wine tasting night. From the minute you walk in, Massimo welcomes you into this fun atmosphere, and you settle in for a lovely experience with delicious food. The last lunch we had began with stuffed zucchini blossoms, which took us right back to Rome. There is something for everyone in your group... authentic pastas, great salads, even burgers for the kids - they want to make you happy here, and it is so nice to support a truly local family business.

Love this place! The owners are fantastic. Massimo is from Rome. He and his wife have made something very special and we all should support local businesses and spread the word. Delicious food! Fabulous staff! Can’t beat it!

My friend and I dined here on a Tuesday evening. We were the only guests, so service was good. Unfortunately I was very unimpressed with the food and the prices. I had $100 gift card and fully expected to have money left over after our visit. We did not. We order the Alfredo pasta and the Milanese chicken and sides of asparagus. There was nothing special about any of the food. I would eat here ever again.
