Our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Miss Ricchi came to our table to welcome us into her culinary home and what a joy it was. We was on “Daddy Daughter Date Night” and not one person disappointed. In a town and area that is filled with “stuffy suits,” i Ricchi read their customer. The food was outstanding; authentic Italian. My 2.5 year old interacted with the staff, but more importantly finished her entire adult size pasta and dessert. Highly recommend you give this place a try if you haven’t been. We will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: They were extremely accommodating. I took my 2.5 year old on Daddy Daughter Date Night. They couldn’t have been nicer. I told them my daughter ate more than I do. They provided an adult portion of rigatoni and meatballs. They were incredibly sweet to her the entire meal and interacted with her. We will absolutely be back.

Great Italian restaurant in the heart of DC. Service and atmosphere was great - it's a smaller, intimate place perfect for a date night or gathering with some close friends. Food was all impeccable, from the focaccia to the salad, to the entree, to the dessert. Waiter was fantastic and even scraped the table crumbs in between servings.Note that this is not an inexpensive restaurant by any means so he prepared for that menu shock! Probably not something you could do every week, but maybe every once and a while for a special occasion.

Superb food, atmosphere, and service. Some of the best calamari I have ever had, and everything else was delicious as well. Would definitely come back!

2 of our group ordered lasagna. Both tasted a rancid taste like the cheese went sour. We sent it and reordered. We asked if the chef could confirm what the aweful taste was. The mgr says there’s really no explanation, the chef uses cinnamon and there’s spices in the sausage so maybe that’s it. We explained it was not that. When leaving we asked why the chef never came out to explain and she said the server probably didn't understand what I was asking as if there was a language gap. I called the server over and she confirmed she was clear that we wanted to speak to the chef. Then the mgr says we’re a high end restaurant, we don’t work that way. I said well I can assure you the food wasnt made fresh. She actually says I think it was made Tuesday. Btw we dined there Thursday. So $40 for a terrible piece of lasagna that was made two days ago and reheated. If you like indigestion and microwaved stuoffers- style lasagna , this is the place for you. If you want good food and friendly service this is not your place.

Brought our son and his girlfriend here for his birthday, we tried many dishes and all were excellent. All of the waitstaff was excellent and very attentive and our server had a lot of spot-on suggestions of what to try. The octopus in the panzanella salad was well-cooked, and the calamari was light. All four of us got pasta dishes because we wanted the homemade pasta. We ordered the cheesecake, chocolate mousse and the semi Fredo which were all delicious but the semi Fredo and chocolate mousse were our favorites. Ambience is pleasant, not overly loud even when it got busy. Lovely place, wonderful dinner.

After several trips to Italy we absolutely fell in love with authentic Italian cooking. Our dinner at I Ricci brought back wonderful memories of the wonderful food we had on our travels. Service was exceptional and our waiter was very knowledgeable about regional wines. Our meal was highlighted by a beautiful Super Tuscan that was both authentically Italian while featuring a Bordeaux blend. Cozy and romantic with a Tuscan feel, I Ricci is a gem of a restaurant with authentic Italian cooking. Highly recommended.

This is one of the finest restaurants in DC I don't even know if it's still around but I can tell you what when it was open it was great Italian food she knew what she was doing

A very pleasant evening. Service was excellent, attentive but not cloying. The food was also excellent, the filet cooked exactly as ordered, the cod was flaky and tender. We have always enjoyed our visits to i Ricchi.

I was disappointed with the service and value for money. Here are the issues we encountered: - The gap between our salad and entrees was nearly 45 minutes. - One of my wife's dishes was forgotten by our waiter. Despite being promised it would be ready in a few minutes when we asked for it to-go, we ended up waiting another 45 minutes and still did not receive it. - After deciding to order dessert while waiting for the missing dish, the waiter brought us the dessert menu but never returned to take our order. - Throughout our wait for the forgotten dish, we felt ignored and had to actively seek out the waiter to get our bill and again to have him process our payment. - Our credit card was not returned until we started heading towards the hosts get our coats from coat check and leave. We never received the missing dish, and while the waiter apologized, it did not make up for the overall frustrating experience. - We spent over two hours at the restaurant, most of that time waiting rather than eating. This visit did not meet our expectations for service or value.
