Wonderful place, best falafel ever. I hope they read this because I would suggest they describe the bread it is on in more detail. They apologized for not having traditional pita bread for it. Instead the should say they have put a new spin on it using their own homemade ??? bread. I don't know what type it is, but it was absolutely delicious!

My friends and I went to a new museum called "Planet Word" and wanted to take a lunch break mid-tour. We were told there's a restaurant in "the basement", and there we ended up in Immigrant Food! It was a pleasant surprise. The place has a nice hip vibe and it's engulfed in delicious smells emanating from the kitchen, dancing harmoniously with oriental beats. We tried many items on the brunch menu, and everything tasted amazing! Highly recommended for a weekend lunch/brunch stop around Franklin Park.

I’m not usually one to leave a review, but this place is that good. Incredibly friendly (and fast) service, nice atmosphere, delicious food and drinks. Try the mint lemonana. I just had it today and I’m already dreaming of the next time I get to have it.

The food here is amazing, fresh, and full of flavor. Highly recommend trying this place. Lunch can get a little hectic, so go with a reservation or go right at 1100. It's pricey, be prepared to spend about $20-30/person before a tip. The server asked right up front if there were any food restrictions (we don't), but was polite change to normal ordering exchanges. We had the Madam VP Heritage, Immigrant Poke, and Latin Flan. The salads were just the right portion size and full of flavor. Madam has some jalapeños, so be careful, they're hot. The Poke was served with a warm white rice, salmon, and other veggies. The Flan was very dense and rich. You can get tap water or Saratoga sparkling water to start.

Terrible customer service. I walked in from Planet Word (why is it so hard to find??), ordered my food and took a seat only to be told that everything was “fully booked” and be given my food “to go” despite the fact 80% of the tables were empty. They never even asked me whether I wanted my food “to go.” Not to mention they upcharged me without warning $3 for a “side salad” that was legit just a few pieces of limp arugula in olive oil and two sad tomatoes. $21 for a “salad” and mediocre falafel while feeling rushed out — hard pass.

They have great food here. I really like the Madame VP bowl with plantains and spicy chicken, which has a really good kick to it, but could use less jalapenos. The ceviche is ok, but honestly not worth the $19 because of the portions, and the tostones just seem really off-putting, but there are still some five-star rated dishes, such as the Viet Vibes and Mumbai Mariachi. I wish there was more African dishes celebrated, however.Service was great and the servers offered to seat us and answer questions. Atmosphere was nice as well and felt relaxing.

I ordered a pina colada and what was giving to me was like an interpretation of a pina colada I have never seen or tasted before even though this was not mentioned on the menu??—gross spicy flavor, nothing pineapple about it & it was green? Also, pretty certain my tip I left was also adjusted even tho I tipped 20% ⛳️ the food was good however. Few customers were inside yet the bartender was always leaving the bar area so I would have to flag him down. Manager I think who was seated at the bar was very rude when I tried to locate the bathroom based off of directions I was given! The AA women greeter at the door was very sweet however. Would not return to this location tbh

Came as a large group so we ordered basically half of the menu and every single dish was delicious. The hummus and pita, the fries and aioli, the Venezuelan tequenos, the Greek wings. Also the Siddartha cocktail is one of the most delicious I've ever had! Will definitely be coming back!

Worst staff. One lady despite being restaurant open from 9:00 pm to 6:00 pm didn’t let me to have dine in. I had to eat food outside despite paying for the food. Not recommended. Very unfriendly and rude staff lady.

Overall, we liked the menu and our food was good. But there were several issues. The water glasses pre-set on our table were dirty. My son ordered a burger with onions, lettuce and ketchup. The burger came with no lettuce (for which there is a $1 upcharge), no ketchup (even on the side), and the onions were sautéed and seemed to be sauced. He hated them. Not sure why someone would assume when a kid asks for onions on a burger to give them carnelized onions without asking/clarifying. We ordered the miso ceasar salad, which arrived without the mushroom "bacon" and was so heavy on the dressing I couldn't finish it. My entree, the gambas al ajillo, never came. We wanted churros at the end of the meal, but were told they were sold out.In the end, the waiter took the missing shrimp entree off the bill, and took $2 off for the missing mushroom "bacon" from the inedible salad. The $1 for the missing lettuce leaf stayed on the bill. As we were leaving, a tiny dish with the mushrooms for the salad was delivered to our table. Amateur hour, all around.

Food is expensive for quality and quantity. I can see what the menu is supposed to taste, but unfortunately, it came short overcooked and no consistency in the garnish and presentations.
