Pow Pow Franklin Square Reviews
Delicious vegan food and friendly staff!
I got the Buddha bowl - every part of it was yummy. Cauliflower and brussels sprouts with edamame over their signature rice (grain mixture, possibly with lentils?), greens, pickled cucumbers with a great sauce. Service was a bit slow. I ordered online and it wasn't ready when they said it would be (just an estimate) but worth the wait.
I visited back in March 2026, it was my first time visiting DC, and I am so glad I visited Pow Pow! The food was delicious, the only thing keeping this from being 5 stars was the wait time. They were busy, so I understand, but it was about a 40 minute wait for my food.
I got the General's Chick'n w/ rice and chow main and a "Chimi Chimi Pow Pow Egg Roll" (a dessert roll).

Pow Pow Franklin Square is a vegan restaurant that offers a variety of delicious Asian-fusion dishes. The menu features tasty options like K-Town BBQ Chicken, Crispy Lemon Chicken, and Chimi Chimi Pow Pow, as well as bowls like Yoga Dragon and Fried Cashew Mozzarella. The food is filling and often leaves room for leftovers. Customers praise the restaurant's diverse menu, balanced flavors, and satisfying textures. The Buddha Bowl was the best and tastiest thing eaten in quite a while, with no fake meat or laboratory-created cheese. Sichuan dumplings were so good, tasted great, had a satisfying texture (fried), and their sauce was yummy. Mongolian beef with broccoli with chow mein was good but could have used more flavor and sauce, a touch bland but still enjoyed. Asian inspired food, especially Bowls, noodles and fried rice, was fresh and very good, lots of vegetables and their home made proteins like vegan chicken and beef. The marinades and sauces were delicious! Service was fast and friendly!
