Delicious brunch in a beautiful hygge space! We sat by the fire on a cold winter day. As vegetarians, we were glad to find flavorful meatless dishes on the menu, including orange blossom donuts, mushroom arancini, burrata, pomodoro gnocchi, and fried eggs.
Our first time dining at Iron Gate coincided with an anniversary during a visit to DC. Very impressed with the ambience which was romantic without being penumbrous. Complimentary sparking wine was appreciated, although it did create slight confusion delaying arrival of the wine pairing for Mezze course. Once that glitch was pointed out, service was perfect the remainder of the evening. We enjoyed the various selections in all 3 courses and could barely finish the final dessert....
This is probably the 6th time we've been there. Every time is phenomenal. Trust the chefs and order the tasting menu. It never disappoints and there are excellent Greek wine pairings. One of DC's top 5 restaurants.
