We live in Waldorf but work in DC and stopped in for drinks—came for that, but we’ll be back for the GUACAMOLE!!! The place has been totally revamped, and it’s all for the better: drinks, menu, vibe. We had the Lady in the Streets and a rum punch (both worth a round two), plus guac to start—which I’m still dreaming about—and shrimp and chicken tacos. With my dairy allergy, they added extra guac, and I was in heaven. Bonus points: they offer brunch and salsa lessons. To top it off, the service was excellent—our bartender was attentive and made us feel so welcome. Can’t wait to come back!

We went here for a brunch and they got half of the orders wrong + it took them over an hour to bring us any food. We were supposed to have unlimited drinks for 2 hours but multiple times (within the first hour!) they came over and told us that they were no longer going to give us any more drinks. Horrendous service for bad overpriced food. I will never come back here and I recommend everyone else stays away as well

I hosted a celebration for 100 people at Johnny Pistolas and I could not have been happier. The food is delicious, the cocktails are creative, the space is trendy and welcoming, and the staff are outstanding. Special mention to Jeff and Nick who were responsive, friendly, and thoughtful from start to finish. Don't miss this gem in Adams Morgan.

I got in line for happy hour ten minutes before it was over Wednesday night. The bartender intentionally moved slowly to pour drinks for the 3 people in front of us as well as us, charged us after she made the drinks and said she does not honor happy hour because the deals are automatically turned off after 730 (it was 7:32 at that moment). I questioned this and the bartender gave me attitude like I was inconveniencing her paying for drinks.
When you order three drinks and the happy hour deals combined for them combine to the price of another drink, not to mention an automatic 15% gratuity, this guarantees I will not return to this bar. This is financially predatory and borderline fraudulent practice if bartenders are stalling so they can make another buck. Truly a despicable practice.

I was visiting DC for the first time and this was right across the street from my hostel so I meandered in during the middle of the afternoon. The tacos were tasty, Chris was fantastic behind the bar, and I enjoyed it enough to go back again for brunch a couple days later. Next time I'm back in DC I'm definitely coming back! Oh my Goodness really the best Barria taco I’ve ever had, the short rib was cooked to perfection and the fish taco was fire too!!!! I would add a picture but it’s gone lol
