As always, our and the Nation's Capital's premier steakhouse! We've been coming here for over thirty years, and we're never disappointed with the food, the service, or the sophisticated ambiance. We miss both Nick and Buzz Beler, but their influence is preserved beautifully. As always, we anxiously await our next visit!

We've been eating at The Prime Rib for over 35 years and it never disappoints. Food and service are always spot on!

Such a fun egg nog holiday Christmas meal with friends at The Prime Rib. Everything was so special, delicious, fun. Tupo is a wonderful server too. Thank you!

Really enjoyed the vibe and piano performance. We met some great people next to us who were celebrating their anniversary as well! Food was excellent and the service top notch! We were referred by Eric from the Fairmont Hotel!

We had the potato skins, wedge salad, prime rib, and asparagus. We shared it all and that was perfect. We took a key lime pie with us for dessert later. The potato skins weren't what we were used to. They are more of a potato chip. The live piano music was wonderful. This is a great quiet place to dine.

The best prime rib in town, and a great spot whether it's a business meeting or a romantic dinner.

One of the most elegant and classy restaurants in Washington, perhaps even in the USA. Impeccable service, delicious cuisine, refined cocktails, and a thoughtful wine list. From the warm welcome at the entrance to the excellent bartender crafting perfect drinks, and the talented pianist filling the room with beautiful music, everything works in harmony. A timeless dining experience and truly one of Washington's gems.

Very expensive steakhouse with traditional decor and good service. We dined there on a Monday night and it was not very busy. They must have relaxed the "jackets are required for gentlemen after 5 pm rule" as there were two tables of men without jackets. Menu is traditional. There are not a lot of creative items on it and this is not a negative, just stating my opinion. We ordered a bottle of Veuve Cliquot and were told by the waiter that they didn't have any chilled. He chilled the bottle for a while and it was still too warm for the first pour, but the second was better. $165 I started with Buzz's salad and it was underwhelming. Shredded lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes, a quarter of an avocado and a boiled egg. The dressing was bland. I wouldn't order this again if go back. $22 For my main, I had the signature cut of Prime Rib (12 oz) and it was bland. The outer edge was tasty, but the main part of the meat didn't have much flavor. For $75, I'd prefer the flavor and tenderness to be more than what it was. The rest of my party had the same. We also ordered the whole lobster Santiago style for the table to share. Lobster meat and crab meat were mixed together and then put back into the lobster shell. It was easy to share and this dish was very good. $150 for the plate seems high to me, but this restaurant is consistent with its pricing. I would order this again. For sides we ordered corn off the cob and sautéed spinach. The corn could have been canned. It might have been fresh, but it was unremarkable and small for $15. The spinach was similar. I think the spinach was fresh and not canned, but still unremarkable and blah. The restaurant served a creme brulée for our birthday guest which was very thoughtful and the piano player played happy birthday. Nice touch! Overall, for $850 for 3 people, I would pick another restaurant with better food. The atmosphere was okay and the service was good, but not great.

This had been our go to celebration restaurant. Sadly, this time there were failures. My wife's filet was tough, our birthday dessert was delayed until well after we finished coffee/tea, and they didn't pack all our leftovers.

Service was fantastic. Our waiter was personable and attentive. The bartender modified my drink based on my preference and it was spot on. Food was delicious. Easy valet parking. Lovely to be able to talk and be heard. Ambiance was old school, but not old. Loved it!

They surprised us and brought out a birthday dessert (we did not choose which one), and then charged us for that dessert...

Dining at The Prime Rib is a refined and elegant experience with top notch service in all categories. The piano playing in the background is something that sets the dining experience apart from so many others too. We had oysters on the half shell and Rockefeller, prime rib and rack of lamb with butter garlic sauce and classic mint jelly and both are such perfect pairing with rack of lamb. We enjoyed the pineapple martini, a vesper as well as some white and red wine. The martinis were served with crushed ice slivers on a frosty glass set atop a napkin centered on the plate in front of us. Habib was our server and even brought out a little crème brûlée for our birthday celebration.
