service was slow, margaritas came in paper Dixie cups… and the “queso” was DISGUSTING. The queso was straight up string cheese with spinach and mushrooms in it…. Like what. I will not be returning. The manager was nice tho & they took the queso off our bill.
The fajitas were excellent and the location provides a casual dining experience with all the flavor of Adams Morgan without the hustle and bustle found around 18th and Columbia Road.
My friend and I went here tonight for dinner and we feel like we were overcharged for terrible service and mediocre food. It took forever to get drinks and guacamole. The pitcher of margaritas we ordered was mostly ice and had enough liquid for us to have one drink each. If you did the math it came out to $25 a drink. The food was mediocre at best, she had the tacos I had the nachos. I don’t know if they were just having an off night or were understaffed, but I don’t recommend this place. Way too expensive for the quality of food and service. It shouldn’t be $45 a person
I genuinely feel uncomfortable writing poor reviews particularly after covid ravaged restaurants throughout the country. I even see this restaurant has solid reviews and people genuinely enjoy it, which I sincerely wanted to since it has an amazing vibe to it. Simply put I must have had a terrible experience. Which I hope the ownership takes into consideration the bizarre meal I had and lackluster service that went along with it. I really just was stepping in and out to grab a quick bite to eat. I sat down ordered the enchiladas rojas and left to use the restroom. I came back had to ask for a water (no big deal but after being asked if I wanted a water, having to ask for one) and ordered some tortillas with salsa, which the salsa was quite delicious. The enchiladas arrived several minutes later, which I appreciate how quick it was served, however it was enchiladas verde. The bartender asked if I wanted the verde, which I didn't or else I would have ordered it, and made some small comment after I mentioned I wanted the rojas like I ordered. It definitely felt like they didn't have it on site, so they were making it to order. I got the sauce and I'm fairly certain it was literally just tomato sauce pureed with guajillo peppers. It tasted like tomato puree with a weird aftertaste. I had to ask for Sour Cream, like it stated on the menu. When I received my bill I was charged $1 for Sour Cream. I told the bartender, it's included with the dish. He took it off, but the entire debacle made the restaurant seem completely unorganized, the staff didn't know the menu, didn't know what was on the menu and just was a pretty pisspoor twenty minute experience, especially when I paid $25 for tortilla chips, salsa, and 3 small chicken enchiladas.
Any real taco place is going to have tongue tacos, and they'll be cooked slow until tender. This place is a real taco place. Tongue tacos are on point. The birria tacos are solid, nice hint of cinnamon. Many others are good as well.
I found these guys using the DIO app because of their awesome specials. Half price margarita pitchers on Sundays are a great way to round out the weekend ;) The service is also fantastic and the owners are often there during the day. Can't recommend this place enough.
Went to on a busy Saturday night while visiting DC from Florida. We sat at the bar and so glad we did! The drinks were amazing. The food was incredible. This is going to be a regular stop when in DC!!!
food was great, service was great, had an all around good time with the family. Couldn't of asked for better service and food. 10/10 would recommend :DD
This place was amazing. Service was spectacular, food was filling, because thr portions were huge! Drinks were nice and strong, and the atmosphere was nice too. Clean spot!

Queso birria tacos are on point! The margarita pitcher special is clutch. It’s hard to find a good Mexican restaurant in Adams Morgan, but they definitely hold the crown! Go check em out!
Great guacamole! Simple and easy weekday meal.
Tasteless food. The fajitas here are disgusting, cheap quality meat
What a gem in Adams Morgan! We’re always on the quest for the best taco and these so far are it in DC. But even better are the drinks! Perfectly created, beautifully served, not too sweet, this will be our new go to for margaritas and Mexican food.
Food: A+, Drinks: A+, Location: A+, Service: A+ -- they probably need more TVs if they're trying to bring in the NFL Sunday crowd, but I love what they're doing!
