I had a lychee margarita with a fun name I can’t remember and the blue crab curry. Both were fantastic, the curry was one of my all time favorite meals. Service and atmosphere were top notch as well, I can’t recommend Kaliwa highly enough!

The unfriendly host should have been out clue to turn around. She asked if we had reservations and made us wait when the restaurant was empty. The Korean fried chicken was undercooked. The Thai fried rice was greasy, you could see the oil pooling on the plate. The onions were not a bit caramelized. Overpriced. I have nothing positive to say about this spot.

Dishonest prices with additional fees on top of mandatory 20% tip. Absurdly priced for low-quality food slow, disorganized service. Hard to imagine a worse value anywhere in DC. Hard pass.

I was with a party of 5 and everyone else got their orders and I never did. I ended up sharing their food. I had to ask where my order was and I told them to cancel it because we were ready to go.They also overcharged us on the bill as the prices on the menu were less than the bill. The staff was nice and apologized and adjusted the bill. But the food was not that great. We got wings which were fine, pork adobo was actually pretty good but the bulgogi was pretty salty and the beef cut was not good.

The bar staff and the host staff were amazing! The food? Lackluster and waaaaaaay overpriced for what you get. Also they gave me an ‘old menu’ that had items that were no longer available and I left disappointed.

I ordered the Asian Burger, medium rare, but came in well done with the bun burnt, and a bit small for a gourmet burger. The Filipino lumpia was ok but flavorless, just missing the "authenticity" savor. They did replace the burger. For a Thai, Filipino, Korean, restaurant, you should focus on the true flavors of each cuisines.

Upscale oriental restaurant with a wonderful fusion menu. They have Gluten free and vegan options. Good prices, especially during happy hour. Excellent service.

Food lefts us with a lot to be desired. Bun was extremely burnt, not grilled. Food was coming one plate at a time and over 10 minutes between them.. We were a party of 5. Every dish was poorly made. There wasn't any love put into it making any of our dishes. Definitely Not a good experience. Avoiding this place. Good view of the marina and great spot for people watching.

Additional fees on the bill that are not disclosed in the menu. This tiny pork belly salad cost $30 after tax + undisclosed fees + tip. Probably $3 of ingredient cost do not recommend!

Did not try, pricey for us Filipino tourists.

The food was great. Service too. But it’s not ok to add random fees. If you want/need to charge 8% more, then you should add 8% to your prices.

Great atmosphere but that’s all it offers. I ordered the Crab Curry and got more crab shells than grab. The server was pleasant. The restroom was filthy. The bill was $220 for 3 people. I would recommend other restaurants in the area that provide better quality service and food.

Probably the saddest excuse of a restaurant. Wife and I had dined for their first Sunday brunch menu not knowing that they didn't even have a lunch menu available. We ordered the Korean chicken wings as appetizers which were sub par but surprisingly the only flavorful/seasoned dish we would have during this experience. The egg mcmuffin rendition they had on the menu came with 2 hockey pucks which had no flavor squeezed in between 2 English muffins and came with a bed of potatoes and bellpeppers which sadly had no taste/no seasoning at all. Either the Sous Chef or whoever was running the brunch service had no taste buds or just didn't care cause it was a Sunday. And my wife also had ordered the fried rice which by the way is about 20+ something dollars but literally was just slightly bigger compared to a sauce bowl/cup which also had no seasoning, was greasy and not enough meat & veggies. Also unless if you want your children to go deaf then bring them here cause they play club music so loud with an amateur DJ, like it's a rave. ON A "SUNDAY brunch". If you want authentic Asian food especially Filipino food I'd suggest yall to try out Hiraya. Which is far way more supreme than this place. I'll give this place a couple months before it can't make rent and closes down. Just an overall bad experience.
