I ordered a catering order for about 20 people for a work event. As soon as I emailed Trini Vybez with my request, I received an almost instant response (not many places are responsive in my experience). They were on time and above all, my colleagues LOVED the food! Very tasty and we have zero leftovers. Will be returning in the future.

[Disclaimer: I was HUNGRY at the time of this meal, but I'm fairly certain I would give the same rating to Trini Vybez any time and day.] The oxtail platter was some of the best food I've had in DC -- juicy, tender, flavorful. Not overpowered by any specific ingredient or taste profile, the oxtail struck a very lovely balance. I would dock a half star for the smaller than ideal portions, and the fact that my two sides of plantains came as a total of four-ish pieces, but I'm hoping it was just the result of getting there at the very end of the night and supplies running low. Service was fairly quick at their food truck, too. I waited on a very short line (again, end of the night, when most people had already eaten), and my number was called in a timely manner. I tasted one of my friend's curry shrimp dish, though, and while I enjoyed the flavor, the quality of the shrimp didn't feel comparable to the quality of the oxtail. More than understandable for a food truck operation, but if you're picky about your seafood like me, you may want to opt for something else.

Last night at a Phillips Museum event, I experienced for the first time Trini Vybez's curried chicken platter, served from their food truck, and was blown away. I was almost levitating with joy because the meal was SO delicious, well seasoned, and balanced !!! The chicken platter included a plentiful dollop of tasty sauteed spinach and several morsels of tender, sweet plaintains. The food quantity was generous and definitely worth the (reasonable) price. Trini's wonderful combination of Caribbean flavors was perfectly matched and complemented by their hibiscus-infused sorrel. Just the smell of this drink is captivating. Trini, I can't wait to use and to recommend you as the caterer for a future event. And, even more so because Trini's owner is a woman -- bravo Natalia !!! Your business deserves wide acclaim and all the growth that you can handle. Thanks for a great dining experience. Looking forward to the next. Michael Peay

Super professional catering service. They offer tastings which were very helpful when we were trying to pick a caterer. They offer vegetarian options that are thoughtful and flavorful. Their oxtails are so tender and well-prepped.

I was at a smithsonian event on the mall yesterday and ordered from trini food truck, I ordered oxtail, cabbage, rice and beans and plantains, plus ddrink the total was 31$. The food was horrific they gave me nothing but bones and they ran out of plantains so they gave me extra bones to compensate for the plantains. Food tasted like straight garlic, no spices. I separated the oxtail from the meal so you can see the how much oxtail/bones they gave me, lesson learned, should of checked food before departing, didn't see the disaster until I got home.

Waited for an hour for my food. Then when my number was finally called it was missing an item! The flavor of the food was "ok" 5/10. The wait to was just extreme !!

45 min wait time after being told it’d be 5-10. Was informed half an hour after that they ran out so didn’t get the order I placed anyways. :( It was more disappointing that the food was cold and wasn’t that tasty. Not a place I would return to especially given how expensive their menu is for a food truck.

I had the roti with Curry goat and it was awesome !

Easily the best food truck in the DMV. The roti wrapped chicken curry was huge and filling and so goddamn flavorful. Try the curry goat too and the oxtail, everything she touches turns to gold.

Trini Vybez serves up some mean portions, but their food lacks a lot of flavor overall. The seasoning on their j*** chicken was average and required more spice. However, the texture of the chicken was on point! I was excited for the mac pie, but it landed up being more like a 3.5. The dhalpouri was VERY dry and I regretted getting it- felt slightly chalky. After reading all the stellar reviews, I am hoping it was just an off day for them and will be giving it another shot if their food truck is around.

I used their catering services over Memorial Day weekend. Very fair prices for the generous portions they served. The food was also delicious. I love that they had vegetarian options in addition to all animal proteins. My 75 guests loved their food, too.

I used Trini Vybez catering food truck services over Memorial Day weekend for a party of 75 people. It was so easy to work with them. They helped me come up with a menu that my guests really enjoyed. The servings were generous and the food was so tasty. I will definitely be using them again!
