FOUND PLASTIC PIECE IN FOOD(red circle)That is not expected from an ex Michelin star restaurant, especially such an expensive one. The staff was quick to remove the charge off the bill for that dish. The food is alright for the cost. Overall experience was spoilt because of the plastic piece. Do not recommend.

After reading reviews, I decided on Karma over Rasika on my DC trip.I think Karma is an overpriced & overrated Indian spot with decent service, tasty select items and elegant ambiance.We really liked their Cocktails, Dal Makhni, Breads and Chicken tikka the most. Rest items like Butter chicken were average.Appetizers like Tamarind potato spheres, Paneer pesto were underwhelming. They are presented creatively but quite meagre for sharing.Get this - They basically serve 2 small dahi puris for $11 and call it “Tamarind Potato Spheres”Paneer Pesto- Again just 2 pieces of paneer coated in basil pesto for $12!Daal halwa for dessert wasn’t bad, not quite outstanding.My advice is to stick with main course only. Good luck.

I have been twice to this place and both times the experience has been good. Zucchini kofta and daal makhani was good but I felt paneer pasanda can improve. Their menu has a very limited vegetarian options which is kind of disappointing as it would be difficult to go again and again due to limited vegetarian options. The ambience was exceptional and serving staff was courteous. They really took care of my Food Allergies.Drinks were average.Give it a shot and try for yourself!Dietary restrictions: If you tell them about your food Allergies they will take care of those.

We had a wonderful experience at this place. Food portions were just right for the two of us. The food itself was amazing. Very eclectic flavor combinations and textures. I fell in love with the raspberry ras malai. Service was excellent. Someone cleared our plates and cleaned the table after every course. Highly recommend for your next modern Indian adventure via food.
The restaurant is not big but very clean and set up nicely. The specialty drinks are very cool and the food is great, just the right amount of spices and flavor. Service can be a little cold, maybe we didn’t look fancy enough? :). But polite and formal. I would definitely visit again.

However, the quinoa failed to meet my expectations; its taste fell short of satisfying my palate despite its acceptable texture.Moving on to the subsequent course, the fried snapper stole the show with its delectable taste, further enhanced by the accompanying tartar sauce. The chicken Chettinad, presented as the third course, proved to be an absolute delight in terms of flavor, although my burgeoning fullness slightly detracted from the experience.As the culinary journey drew to a close, I partook in the raspberry dessert, the specific name of which eludes my memory. Regrettably, the ambiance failed to leave a lasting impression, lacking the captivating allure one might anticipate from a Michelin-starred establishment. Additionally, I noted with disappointment the absence of a proper introduction from our waiter. While he acknowledged his role for the evening, the omission of his name left me pondering whether this was a calculated measure to avoid accountability in reviews, an oversight, or a genuine lapse of memory.
