If you want a place in DC without the flair and the price, this is it. Come here for the cheap beer and good conversation, which seems to be few and far between anywhere else in the area.
Had lunch with former colleagues at one of our favorite 'watering holes' in DC. Hadn't been there for at least 14 years. It hasn't changed a bit. Still the warm and upbeat place to gather over a good choice of beers and food.
Huge potential and lovely old pub but a bit run down and grimy atmosphere inside...

And obviously as it's near central DC, it is v expensive.
It seems a bit of a strange atmosphere - it should be friendly and irish (like a true irish pub), but it just seems a bit unfriendly. Maybe that's the DC way?
