Despite it being a crowded Saturday, my food came out quickly and appropriately paced (kale salad, followed by gumbo, and then apple bread pudding). Everything was very tasty. I had a very pleasant experience.
The food was very good, especially for a busy Valentine's Day. However, an automatic 18% gratuity was added for our table of three and wasn't mentioned by our server — we nearly tipped twice before noticing. I'm someone who routinely tips 20%, so clearer communication would have been appreciated. The service was also inattentive, which made the automatic charge frustrating.
Everything we ordered was delicious. Our party had cheese biscuits, corn bread, collard greens, cat fish, and smoked wings. Strawberry lemonade, margaritas and sangria were also nice. Bring your $$$ because it is pricey...but, well worth it!!!!
