The food is impressive in every category. The best ingredients and prepared well. I've eaten here 3 times now. When you notice that the vegetables in the salad are cut well you are either being too picky or the quality is just that good. I can be picky but I'm telling you- the quality is just that good.Last weekend I came with 2 adults and a child- we were all impressed with our breakfast sandwiches. The same gentleman prepared our food each time- I don't know your name sir but you a food artist!Thank you.

Leni its's located inside of Roost, I have been to Roost few times, but haven't tried Leni's food.I was very impressed with how good the sandwich was, service was pretty fast as well.It one of the only restaurants at Roost that opens in the morning.

I've only had their breakfast -- really great each time. The brioche they use for their sandwiches is delicious. You get a decent-sized sandwich, without feeling like you're eating a day's worth of calories for breakfast. Highly recommend.

Leni is located in the Roost, a very hip food hall. Ordering was easy - you can order at any counter or scan a QR code and order online. We went for lunch and got two different salads for takeout, both had chicken. In both cases, the creamy dressing was underseasoned, and definitely could have used more kick, whether from acid or salt. The ingredients seemed high quality - pulled chicken in both - but there seemed to be a lack of attention to the production: a number of the chicken pieces had gristle/tendon attached, and some had bones, which made the entire eating experience unappetizing. one of the salads had whole carrots that were so over-roasted they were flaccid and mushy, with no bite. I'd be interested in going back to Leni when it has enough business to have consistent quality in production - I feel like this must be a casualty of how the pandemic has thrown off every restaurant's supply/demand formula.

Leni is a beautifully tiled small counter close to Cameo inside Hill East's The Roost, a culinary clubhouse. It's the first spot of Richmond-based, Top Chef alumnus Brittany Anderson. Here's why to visit:1) Space: The entire Roost is just cool. Across the Potomac Avenue Metro, it's the entire first floor of a new apartment building with a Shop Made In D.C., coffee shop, a beer garden, cocktail bar and multiple restaurants serving tacos, sushi, dumplings, burgers and more. There's a heated patio during the winter and safely spaced booths inside. Each station is uniquely designed. The Leni counter is among the most beautiful.2) Food: For a counter spot, they have a large menu with all-day breakfast sandwiches, toasts and soups. I ordered the speck breakfast sandwich and it was tasty and well grilled. Also, borscht is on the menu! If you want a Euro-inspired restaurant for lunch or dinner, go to The Roost's Leni.

My avocado and egg sandwich was one of the best I've ever tried. The cheese was plentiful and delish and the avocado was perfectly ripe and delicious. The challah bun was also a nice surprise. I wish I had taken a photo but I quickly ate it before doing so. I will go back again soon and grab a photo next times. In the meantime, I would highly recommend giving this place a try!

The borscht had a nice flavor, but was rendered completely inedible due to the massive excess of salt. The rostis are delicious, if a bit small... it would be great to see them offer just a bare rosti. The rye berry salad wasn't as bad as the borscht, but it was still far too salty. It's not even a question of health, the salt just ruined the flavor.

Great spot to get a filling breakfast in The Roost. My avocado toast was delicious. The sourdough was thick and perfectly grilled. The avocado was well-seasoned and there was plenty of it. Looking forward to trying other menu items.
