Haven't stopped by for mayb 2yrs as we moved out of the city . . was in the area this morning so we stopped by . . . coffee & customer service still 5+ stars . . THEY'RE THE BEST!!!!
Lot 38 Expresso Bar is a hidden gem in DC and my absolute favorite breakfast spot. I ate here almost daily for 3 years when I lived nearby, and now I make it a point to stop in whenever I'm in town.
Their vanilla latte is perfection - smooth and completely free of bitterness. The sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a soft, perfectly toasted bagel hits the spot every time with its ideal balance of ingredients.

The only place I have found in this area that serves Illy coffee. They have the BEST service, and the quality of the coffee and food is EXCELLENT! This is my GO-TO coffee stop when I am in the Navy Yard area.
