We have been to Lupe Verde many times and have never seen the service so slow. It was crowded so I can understand to some degree but they forgot multiple items that were requested nd had to be reminded several times.
The food is not your usual Italian fare. It's real - and delicious. The freshly made pasta is fabulous, and the sauces are wonderful. It's a great menu. Service is efficient and sincere. Comfortable both indoors and on the deck. We come back to Lupo Verde again and again for our favorite dishes, especially the fried artichokes and caciio e pepe.
Said was a great server. Very attentive. Easter Brunch was amazing. Our family of 5 ordered 10 different things on the menu and everything was outstanding!!! We will definitely go back again soon!!
This is the second time we've been to Lupo Verde recently. I think it was even better this time than the first time we went. I had the Dover sole which was very fresh, but unfortunately, I didn't really care for the preparation. The sides that came with it were absolutely delicious. My family enjoyed a couple of the pasta dishes as well as the Frito miso that is an appetizer. Our server was very friendly and attentive and helpful with some choices. We will definitely return.
The food was mediocre, and overpriced for what was served. The service, while pleasant, was poorly paced even though the restaurant was not crowded.
Grilled shrimp Caesar salad was delicious. I would come back. We sat outside on the front patio and it was so nice.
From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a smile. We received excellent service, a very welcoming environment, and the food was outstanding. I would definitely recommend.

A friend and I had a lovely catch-up over lunch at Lupo Verde. The service folks were right on time; we were seated, given menus, and given the food we ordered promptly. I had an exquisitely-tasting hamburger. We were encouraged to take our time. We are definitely going back.

Excellent dependable neighborhood restaurant with incredible pastas and entrees. The butterflied branzino with olive oil, tomatoes and capers is always awesome!
Overall a pretty good and tasty place. Definitely more local and a little bit outside of the normal touristy areas of DC. The staff are super kind but can be a little pushy in terms of upselling. I found the food to be very well done and they had interesting takes on classic dishes.
A very nice place to try if you’re looking for something less touristy.

This place was actually really great but I will tell you why they lost a star (and really should have lost 2): Restaurants in DC have to STOP sitting the tables so close together. There is no reason a 2 seater should be sitting in front of your wine fridge. The server had to interrupt the table sitting next to us TWICE to get something out of it. Like what? Why in the world would you put tables there? I can’t even review the food properly bc that honestly shocked me. My server was such a dear though. She knew the couple on the OTHER side of me (I know. 3 tables squished in front of this wine fridge) and seemed to have a great relationship with them. Let’s me know they try to provide an experience.

Definitely like this place and the fried artichokes were lovely. They came with a yummy sorrel sauce that you don't often find in the States. Check out the small shop downstairs that also has a private dining table for a cool dinner party. And thearket had reasonably priced items. Also there is a tree course dinner offered on Monday night for $35!!

Delicious food but service is slow, and we didn’t get bread like every other table did. We just noticed that at the end of our meal

We went there with our family to celebrate new years day. The place is a quite low lighted and played some loud tunes. The staff were very hospitable, patiently paid attention to our orders and gave us a good service. Food was quite pallateable, had authenticity in their flavors and timely.
There is a bar in the first floor and cozy upstairs dining room. A party of 15 can fit in a private room upstairs.
Only issue could be for physically challenged as there are stairs for this restaurant.
