I went for New Year's Eve into the new year. The place is immaculate. Food was good. (I ate at the bar) Drinks were ok. I didn't try any signature drinks. Some things could be a little better but I rather not say. I will be visiting again soon.

We always ask for a printout of the final receipt. To make sure we aren't overcharged for anything. When we ask for a printout, she said she couldn't. I assumed the implication was that she couldn't because she was using the handheld machine.
today when I went for brunch, I paid in cash with $200 (2 $100 bills). The waitress never gave me my change. Even though everyone at the table paid their portion with their card. I was the only person that paid cash . Lady never gave me back.My $40+ change 🤬😡 20% gratuity is already included No bueno 👎🏽

The resturant is pretty. It’s a vibe lol. I only ordered a few appetizers and drinks but they were both good. One is mac and cheese and I forgot what the other one was called. I would come back to try more food.

I was warmly welcomed and everyone was so nice. It seemed like no one was working, bcs the employees were enjoying their times as well. In the beginning, it looked to me like they are customers 😂 Like they wanted to be there. Not bcs they have to do a job. Seemed to me like they are family and I liked that a lot, bcs it reminded me of home. The food was so delicious, no matter what I ordered. I loved the jerk chicken wings and it had an excellent spicyness, a big compliment to the kitchen. The food was served fast as well. Music was amazing and the karaoke was entertaining. I hope to visit it again when I come back from New York and also, before I go back to Switzerland. After that I need to be patient for awhile to come back here, but by any chance, I definitely will. Bcs you'll do nothing wrong coming here. Thx for everything guys 👋🏻

Atmosphere is nice, the short rib and jollof was delicious (a pinch salty, but still really good!)-a few friends and I went for the movie night and it was a good time. Movie night tables came with a mini firepit that was lit once, then we were told there would be a fee for them to relight it...huh?
Also, it's weird they don't allow you to send a drink that you may not like back (ingredients list is great, but a friend asked to get a new drink and was told "The ingredients are listed so we can't take it back" which is odd for any restaurant/bar.) So play it safe if you're unsure about the cocktails, cause you'll be paying for two if you don't like it.
Menu pricing is a bit crazy, but blame inflation I guess?

Lydia's is exceptionally consistent in providing great service with delicious food! The jerk wings and suya eggrolls are are hit! The drinks and great vibes are always on point! The bartender, Hassan is very attentive and his drinks are fantastic! I will easily choose this place over and over again!

Lydia on H is a maddening paradox. On one end, the food is absolutely incredible and I can't wait to have more of it. On the other hand, it is also equally disorganized and chaotic.
Everything we had to eat was delicious: both the jerk chicken and braised lamb flat breads, the jerk wings, fried shrimp and cabbage rolls, salmon and shrimp rasta pasta, the oxtail with curry cabbage and joloff rice, and the curry chicken. All stupendous afro-caribbean dishes.
But making a reservation, dismal. Their online Resy didn't show any availability past today. When I called them they said to try back which I did several times. I finally called and spoke with someone who said they were the chef and took down our reservation. I called back a couple days before and they had no reservation and took it down again. And guess what? When we showed up there was no reservation for the 6 of us. They crammed some small tables together and seated us. Our server was friendly and did her best but the coursing was a mess. Food either took forever so we got really hungry or came out quickly so we didn't have room on the table,
In spite of this, I give it 4 stars because of the food but y'all can do better than this!
The curry chicken and oxtail were CRAZY GOOD! I don’t know what they do to that cabbage but I could have eaten a whole plate of just that. Great atmosphere and wonderful service from Jaha. Will definitely be back.
