Food great, as usual. Quiet because we were seated outside. Servers very accommodating as we changed seats to avoid rain.

We had not eaten at Macon in a couple years and were delighted with our dinner there. Left us regretting that we had not been back before then! Not a wrong note anywhere in the evening. We will not be long in returning.

Nice, varied menu for lunch. Pleasant setting and vibe. Can be very noisy but at lunch is comfortable.

Great ambiance, service, and food in a pre-movie dinner for three. Great hot soup on a night of exceptional winter chill. Three different seafood entrees for three different diners, all excellent. Efficient, friendly, non-obsequious service that knew how to time things, so all was done before time to leave for the movie house. Bustling, cosmopolitan, but polite, non-noisy crowd provided stimulating dining backdrop.

The food was good, the service was terrible. We were rushed into an order, it took a long time for a drink (a beer) to arrive. We ordered two courses and they brought out everything at once. We were never offered a second beverage or a dessert menu. Before we finished our food they gave us the bill and turned off the lights outside and turned up the lights inside. If you're going to be open for your stated hours of operation then be open. Otherwise change your hours of operation or don't open at all. Either way, I would not recommend and I will not return.

Great local restaurant but good for the entire DMV. Great French and Southern dishes. Nice service which is low-key but there when one needs it.

A nice cozy place for a good dinner. I got the short ribs, Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese and crème brûlée. All really good, a bit on the expensive side.

Got take out and when I opened my salad at home I audibly laughed. $16 for this is ridiculous...

This was a 2nd time dining here. I love the Niçoise salad -- the fresh slices of tuna were perfect and delicious with plenty of lovely salad. They aim to please and care about their customers. My husband had the Coq au vin and was very pleased. We also appreciated the happy hour price on wine. We dined outside. All the best to the new owners - Bravo.

Don’t order the roast beets salad. They literally use commercial sliced canned beets like you would buy in Safeway, serve chilled. I’ve always had real beats freshly roasted and served warm, but this was just the craziest version of that delicious salad I’ve ever seen. Also I asked for a medium well done burger to go because I was going to share it with my one year-old baby, and I told them so, and I got a mostly pink burger when i got home, as the picture shows. At least they were nice enough to refund me the burger. Very unhappy with my first experience — and my last.

Macon Bistro and Larder is a great restaurant that won't disappoint. Melvin is the consummate host in this neighborhood bistro that serves an eclectic French inspired menu.

Charming space to be in, charming servers, delicious burger and at a great value, as it was 1/2 price burger Monday. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely! Highly recommend :) (I meant to tap 5 stars at the beginning of this review!!! Couldn't fig out how to correct)
