FIVE STARS AND WELL DESERVED!Came to DC for the weekend and wanted brunch. A friend who was a local highly recommended Matchbox because it was unlimited brunch & mimosas.Unfortunately due you covid there wasn't any unlimited mimosas and they only offered their a la carte menu but there were so many options. Instead they did a special where they give you your own champagne bottle and your choice of juice for $20 which was good because you're pretty much doing the same thing. It takes a good five glasses to finish a champagne bottle on your own.There was outdoor seating and it was vibe. However it did get hot and the manager was so helpful in making sure we got a table indoors. In fact the manager EMMANUEL was AMAZING!! He was so helpful, answered all of our questions, and genuinely cared!!The food was great. I had two meals because I was hungry and they were filling! You get a good bang for your buck! I had the all American breakfast and the fried shrimp meal. It was tasty. The French toast tasted like real lemon pound cake, I was shocked!! Overall it was a great time, and very enjoyable due to the stupendous service and great food and I am definitely coming back.

I had a spicy jalapeno margarita and it was SO good. The waiter was attentive and engaging, and he recommended the poke bowl to me. It was delicious!

Tried this place twice, both from brunch and lunch. And had an amazing experience. The pasta with meatball is just great! Had both times a fast pick up at their location

The service was great. The food was good. My server Janae was amazing. However, what I witnessed while at the restaurant gives me hesitation in revisiting. There was a situation with someone of African American decent who was homeless & mentally ill (assumably) . The way that upper management handled the situation was unbecoming. Especially in light of George Floyd & Breonna Taylor's murders. One manager (who was there from Corporate Marchbox, you could tell they were flabbergasted by the situation & not a regular employee within this establishment) called the police without attempting to speak with the person in question beforehand. The other regular manager supported them in this endeavor. Luckily the situation was diffused mainly because of my waitress Janae. She was amazing by offering the person a glass of water & a few kind words. If Matchbox is in the business of treating people like this I do not think I will continue to dine at this establishment. Otherwise it is a fine place.

The outdoor seating here is great. There are bushes so that people don't want by and get close. Very COVID-19 safe. The salad that came with the crab cakes was of the glass. The lobster rolls were good too.

THERE WAS HAIR ON MY CHEESECAKE I JUST GOT MY ORDER LIKE 30 minutes ago ate my pizza now thinking I'll enjoy my cheesecake there's phucking hair !!!!!!!! Why aren't your staff wearing hair nets beard nets whatever !!!!! A waste of my money now I can't eat it because it's not my hair. I don't have the time to pluck my long curly hair and place it.This is a short hair from someone in your business!!!!! WILL TELL MY FRIENDS TO NEVER ORDER FROM HERE

Food is always great here, prices increased due to COVID, a little steep for lunch. Service was a bit slow to start. There weren't many tables so not sure what caused that. Sat outside, appreciated their attention to social distancing and safety.

Stopped in for a salad and glass of wine on a Saturday afternoon. Nice place. Service with Tora was great. Friendly and knowledgeable folks. Had the Caesar salad. Very good. Crip lettuce and just right on dressing. Had fresh parmigiana on top. Yum. Ryan (manager) checked in on us. Great guy. Super friendly and truly wanted to make sure we were having a great lunch. Appreciate that very much. Would recommend.

Clean restaurant, all masks written by staff. Food was delicious, hot and fresh. Mgt & Staff very friendly and involved. Highly recommended!
Rude workers. I was picking up part of a double delivery and asked for a status on the part I hadn’t gotten. I got no response. When I asked again and mentioned I simply was looking for an estimate of when it might be done so I could go across the street (80ft away) to pick up the other order I was interrupted and told in a rude tone that it would be out in a second. 10 minutes later and checking in with another worker, he pulled the pizza out from under a stack that had been forming. All I asked for was a status update and estimate. I get that they’re busy but don’t take it out on the delivery drivers. We’re in this together.

Dezhanae is so welcoming and makes me so comfortable during this hard time. The food and drinks are perfect for this summer season. I recommend the spicy margarita and Nashville wings. Also shout out to Ryan for being organized and efficient. My fiancé and I will be back

Every time I've been to this location the service has been impeccable. The food is great and I highly recommend during quarantine for a way to switch up your day and break routine. 5 stars!

For my money, still the best pizza in town. I've been looking for a worthy competitor and Matchbox is still undefeated. They're consistent across all locations! Hell, during the Covid-19, I even drove to Charlottesville, VA to get a few pizzas and it was worth every mile.
