MI VIDA Reviews
Food was excellent, service was fine, but when we arrived for our 8:00 reservation they asked us to wait. More parties arrived and were quickly seated as we watched not understanding. Finally we pressed and were told they were waiting for a party of four to leave before we could sit down. Why not just explain so from the beginning to avoid confusion?
I had a note twice in my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and it was never acknowledged. All throughout the meal we heard other people singing happy birthday and having their nice moment, and I was just handed the check. Additionally, the waiter never told us that the kitchen and bar were going to be closing, never got a last call. Excellent lunch. Sopa de pollo and brisket mole enchilada. The mole is outstanding. great service. Noise level low since it was a quiet time.
MI VIDA is a restaurant that offers tasty food and excellent service. The fish tacos and empanadas are particularly enjoyed by customers. The restaurant brings a lively and flavorful Mexican atmosphere to the area, with a big and spacious setting that offers stunning views of the pier, enhancing the overall vibe. The food is absolutely delicious, with dishes like Cochinita tacos packed with flavor and the salmon manchamanteles that is bold, unique, and perfectly balanced. The staff is incredibly friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Recently, the restaurant introduced a new tasting menu called Sagrada, which provides a beautiful, unique, and flavorful dining experience. Each course, including the mushrooms & beet tartare and the short rib with mole, is carefully designed for guests to enjoy every moment. Service is exceptional, and the experience can last up to 2 hours or more, making it a great way to share quality time with loved ones.
However, there have been some minor issues. Customers noted that upon arrival for an 8:00 reservation, they were asked to wait without clear explanation, which caused some confusion. Despite mentioning a birthday celebration in the reservation, it was not acknowledged, and other guests celebrating birthdays received special attention. Additionally, the staff did not inform diners about the bar and kitchen closing times, leading to an abrupt end to their meal. The music was very loud, sometimes making it hard to enjoy the atmosphere or read the menu. Still, the decor, food, and attentive staff make MI VIDA a highly recommended place overall, providing a vibrant and memorable Mexican dining experience.
