Loved the entire experience! Every dish was amazing! Every person I intereacted with was gracious, kind, knowledgeable and timely.
I love this restaurant. Having traveled many places in the Middle East, its authenticity in the kitchen yields pure joy at the dining table.
Great in every thing! But be very hungry when you go there! Noise levels are a bit high but overall an amazing experience.
I had been looking forward to eating at Maydān for quite some time and it did not disappoint! However, we were seated in the Medina Dining Room which does not have the same ambience as the main part of the restaurant. The food was good but not outstanding. It felt a step below Albi - my favorite Middle Eastern place. Definitely still worth a visit and I loved the decor!
I have been to Maydan twice before and had a wonderful experience. But last night was definitely Off - and with a bill of over $700 for a family of 5 (no alcohol) - I am afraid that we will not be going back. The lamb was dry, crispy chickpeas stale tasting ...the chicken skewers were excellent - but honestly not worth the bill for us.
Food was out of this world with the perfect portions we tried the tawley menu and was a great decision, the chocolate mouse was our favorite, ever!. We definitely coming back for our next celebrations. Excellent service and ambience as well.
Fantastic, as always. This is my favorite restaurant in the city, from the food to the service!
The food and setting were both excellent (even in the room across the alley). The service was outstanding - knowledgeable, attentive, friendly. Exactly what you'd want for a leisurely multi-course meal. The five of us celebrating a birthday all left feeling like we got a gift.
Excellent food, very tasty and flavorful. The restaurant has great ambiance and music. Although it is a bit dark so it's a bit difficult to read the menu. The host and servers were pleasant and very attentive. Highly recommend ordering the branzino and ribeye steak. Get toum and harissa for your sauce. Chopped salad is a great starter. The carrots were also a great side for the two dishes. I chose to have free spirit and ordered the Medina Arnold which is basically Arnold Palmer drink. Also since there were five of us, we decided to do the tawl experience which is pretty much a lot of small dishes served before your main course. The pita bread was amazing.
Everything was fantastic except for the roasted cauliflower. It was okay but not amazing. Begging for a char. Get literally anything else.

Amazing food and drinks!! We did the à la carte so we could choose each dish. The lamb was a must get dish.
We have been to Maydan several times. Today we sat in the Medina area. Food is always excellent as well as the service
We had a great experience at Maydan for our anniversary. Food and service were exceptional. There was a bit of a hiccup with our leftovers, where they packaged the wrong food from other table but the manager handled the situation nicely. It was a mistake from the server side, other than that, everything was great and they handled the situation nicely
Maydan is a warm, vibrant escape where every dish feels like a celebration. The open-fire cooking creates incredible depth of flavor, and the shared plates make the experience feel communal and memorable. The atmosphere is stunning without trying too hard, and the service is attentive and welcoming. A must-visit in D.C. if you love bold, beautifully executed Middle Eastern–inspired food.
This was my 2nd time at Maydan and it did not disappoint! Our server, Nadia, was so good. She was patient, professional, and nice. Her recommendations were on point! The food was delicious, the drinks were tasty and the table they moved us to was so nice. It was a great experience to share with my son for his 21st birthday!
