We are so glad MXDC opened again!!! Their new location at 1610 14th NW it's amazing, the place itself was beautiful and there have been so many delicious additions to their menus (and new menus as well)!! We love the old and new MXDC!!

I love this new restaurant!! The place, the food, the drinks, and the service, everything it's really good. The staff it's so nice and the food was delicious. We tried the tempura sushi rolls and it was sooo yummy! Their happy hour also lasts from 4-7 and the drinks are GOOD

When we came here they were having some type of foodie week where they had a variety of specials and you got to try a little of everything and it did not disappoint. Everything was freshly made it seemed like, different flavors and cooked so that nothing was dry, too spicy, or runny, it was just a great experience overall. Such a good concept.

From the moment we stepped into MXDC, we knew we were in for a remarkable dining experience. The ambiance was charming, with soft lighting and elegant décor setting the perfect mood for our evening. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff members who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to accommodate any special requests. Our server guided us through the menu, recommending standout dishes that truly exceeded our expectations. Each dish that graced our table was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. From the delicate appetizers to the indulgent main courses, every bite was a culinary delight. The chef's commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients was evident in every dish. One particular highlight was the Steak, a culinary masterpiece that showcased the chef's creativity and skill. The flavors were perfectly balanced, leaving us craving more with each bite.To complement our meal, we enjoyed a selection of wines recommended by the GM, Tony, each pairing enhancing the flavors of the food.Overall, our experience at MXDC was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of exquisite food, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance made for a truly memorable evening. We cannot wait to return and explore more of the culinary delights that this restaurant has to offer at their new location.

Big disappointment. Visited 12/21/202, lunch, about 1 pm, Thursday.Service was horrible, slow, unfriendly from the very unpleasant, surly, sour front-of-house person, who sat us down in the pit, even though we requested a seat by the window, to the very slow, (slo-mo), discourteous waiter, who we had to ask to bring every single thing to our table. Silverware, water, condiments, napkins - all the basics, he brought out one at a time. He was not attentive at all. It was an empty restaurant when we were there for lunch. The food was not great. It's been hyped-up.Maybe it was an off-day? Maybe. However, the lack of response indicates that this place operates this way.Food was okay, less than average. Definitely not fresh tasting. I have had a lot better! Since there are so many better choices in DC. Don't waste your money here!I contacted to let them know about our experience, 12/22, 12/27, 12/28, 12/29, 12/30, 1/6, 1/10. Phone, email & website contact form. No response. They don't care, evidenced by their lack of response. We won't return. It deserves less than a 1 rating. It was the easily one of the (absolutely) WORST restaurant experiences we've had ---and we have dined in restaurants all over the world!Save your money and don't waste your time, this restaurant is all flash, zero substance! With the numerous options for fresh, flavorful Latin food in DC where the food is better and the service great, don't go to MXDC! Why would you?! Unless you like a serving of attitude, disdain and resentment with your meal. I find it makes for a really poor atmosphere..

The two hosts in the afternoon on 12 January were extremely rude and dishonest and showed preferential treatment. They sat us at a table we didn’t prefer and continued to tell us the others were ‘reserved’. Upon asking a couple that entered after us, they confirmed that they had made no reservation and were sat at one of the tables we suggested to the hosts we would prefer. They paired this behaviour with eye rolls, disrespectful sound reactions when engaging with us and being dismissive. The servers were good but the atmosphere was soured by this experience.

This restaurant had good service and a calming and serene atmosphere, but I was dissapointed with the food. My quesadilla had beef on top of it, and the beef was incredibly chewy. My mom's food & Margarita was good, and my dad's food was not. He ordered a ceviche which was drenched in soy sauce. The sauce really overpowered the whole meal. Not the best. Recommend elsewhere.

This place was just ok. The guac was good and very fresh, but everything else was just ok. I got the tortilla soup which was lukewarm when served. The rockfish ceviche was too salty and spicy for my taste. I order ceviche everywhere I see it and this was a very unusual presentation. The two 16 year old boys I had with me ordered tacos and they said they were good. The presentation was nice. We went there for lunch on a Saturday and the service was very slow despite there seeming to be plenty of servers and about a half full restaurant. The menu looked decent enough. If I go back I think I'd stick to a basic burrito bowl.

ein sehr schönes restaurant mit einem super freundlichen team. alle 4 essen waren absolut super und der preis war sehr angemessen! einzig das bier ist mit 9$ relativ teuer. aber wir kommen wieder!

Overall it was nice. It was festively decorated for Christmas which was nice and created a nice ambiance. Food portions are quite small and prices are a bit expensive for the amount of food you get. Drinks were very good.

We celebrated my birthday party here and the staff went above and beyond. They made us feel like they known us forever. Thank you to the manager too for accommodating our extra guests. The food was incredible and we tried almost every dish between our group. Everything was great and they also have a great tequila list. Margaritas were on point too!!
