Nando's PERi-PERi Reviews
love there perinaise sauce its amazing on fried fish and fries and makes a killer blt
This place is insidious, a pus-filled, festering blight on the other wise sterling reputation of the great city of Chicago. NEVER in my ENTIRE life have I had such a horrendous experience in a restaurant in Downtown Chicago. Chicago is a premier dining destination with Downtown serving as the epitome of dinning.
There was an egregious lapse in customer service, and a total lack of guidance from what SHOULD have been management, it was truly a inexplicable, unmitigated calamity.

Unbelievably bad service. Truly shocking. Chicago should be embarrassed.

Nando's PERi-PERi is a South African chicken chain famous for their piri piri dishes. Many customers enjoy the juicy and tender PERi PERi Chicken bowl made with fresh ingredients like roasted red peppers and grilled corn. The restaurant offers healthy and delicious options, including the popular rainbow bowl, although it may not be the most budget-friendly choice. Staff members provide friendly service whether dining in or ordering to-go, making it a convenient and satisfying experience for many. Recent reviews highlight that the food is very flavorful and appetizing, especially the rainbow bowl with boneless chicken breast and the mango limeade drink. Customers also appreciate the nice and attentive staff. Some mention that the food can be a bit expensive, but the variety of sauces allows for customization, and spice levels can be chosen from all the sauces the kitchen uses, with the option to add more. The chicken, like the 1/4 chicken breast, is cooked well—tender and not chewy. The venue is wheelchair accessible and clean, with the option for unlimited drink refills when purchased. A few guests noted that sitting near the kitchen can be uncomfortable when frying with spices, as the air can cause coughing. While rare, some experiences include stale and cold fries, but most guests continue to enjoy their meals. For those avoiding greasy food, it is possible to reduce sauce or omit it entirely and add herb salt for a lighter, tasty meal.
