In the hustle and bustle of our complex world, sometimes the best things do the simple things perfectly rather than many things somewhat well. This salmon BLT embodies this ethos. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the salmon was flaky and flavorful, the bread was delicately toasted, and the sauce, onions, and lettuce were gently complementing.
It’s in a vibrant food market. The food was a smoked whitefish tuna. Reasonably priced selection.

Smoked Salmon BLT - Berkshire Bacon, Smoked Salmon, Mixed Greens, Tomato & Aioli. This sandwich is amazing. I typically don't even like smoked salmon or BLT, but theirs are incredible. Flavor & texture are great; Their sauce mixes so well here. Their portion's also pretty generous. You honestly can't go wrong with this sandwich.

Well, I have to start by saying it was super disappointing to order online, ride my bike there for what was kind of a while, and then find out that the main sandwich I ordered wasn't available even though it let me order it online right when they opened (meaning they knew they didn't have the shrimps but they listed it online for sale).
Instead of the shrimp salad sandwich, I had an egg salad sandwich which was a bit pedestrian, fairly unremarkable. But the salmon BLT was solid, fresh tomato, lettuce and onion with a generous amount of salmon, though the salmon itself could have been a touch less dry. It was remedied by the aioli.
Good enough I'll give it another try next time I'm at UM but this time they betta have my shrimp salad!

I've been to both local-ish locations ....Belev Square and Union Market. The service is typically wonderful, so sweet and patient.a ....Yustin(sp?) The very friendly and patient guy at the front at Union Market location is soooooooo great and knowledgeable about what's on the menu. He's also very kind overall and will crack jokes!
At both locations, though, it feels rushed by customers, not staff so please be patient.
Smoked salmon salad ...yummy Shrimp salad...shrimps are a bit smaller and sometimes the shrimp's poop line isn't cleaned out.
Nothing better imo than a weekend open faced sandwich from here with blt and avo and their shrimp salad. Just to die for. And the mussels are the best deal in the city - the best $1 bite anywhere in the dmv

Salmon BLT was so good I’m still thinking about it two weeks later!
I recently visited Neopol inside Union Market and had a great experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, and while someone might tell you it’s the best bagel sandwich they’ve ever had, I wouldn’t go quite that far—though it’s definitely good! I highly recommend the smoked salmon BLT; it’s a standout. On weekends, seating can be a bit scarce, but if you visit during the week, there’s usually plenty of space. Prices are reasonable, and the service is quick. Definitely worth a stop!

Very kind and helpful staff, they sliced the gravlox for me and called their boss to confirm an allergy/ingredient. The gravlox itself was under-cured, and had a flavor similar to a stinky French cheese (Epoisses), which is nothing I've experienced before. It needs more salt/dill/sugar. I will not order this again despite the friendly service.

I love love this place!! I take everyone to taste what they have !! I get my dog treats also from here . My last visit made me sad because I love their shrimp salad ..it was spoiled, and boy nasty, I mean I couldn't believe it and I new I couldn't bring it back in time. So sad stomach and disappointed is understatement I hate. I had to dumb it. SO a new suggestion ask for a sample before you buy.. or at least when was it made. I still love this place and will return. I just know what to do for the next visit
