My experience at the Ooh's and Aahh's on Georgia Ave was horrible on 01/02/2026. First of all the server got an attitude with me when she got my order incorrect when she was distracted while taking my order...and she wanted to argue when I know what I ordered and understood the menu.My partner and I ordered fried fish, mac n cheese, and green beans. The fish was ok, the mac and cheese was too salty and cheesy, and the green beans were overly seasoned and we could not eat them. Then later we both got sick from the food. I was disappointed with the experience in that I use to always have great food and service back in the day at the U Street location while visiting DC. We will NEVER patronize this restaurant EVER again.

Issue: Came in with party of 3 (myself and two ten year olds boys) Our take out order came out to $74 😯 I ordered a turkey burger sliders w/no sides Nephew order: turkey wings with mac-cheese and mash potatoes for sides 2nd nephew order: 10 wings with Mac-cheese & greens sides.
Deserts: One slice of cake Beverages orders: Two bottles of Orange Crush & One half & half lemonade. Total order 🟰 $74
Wait time: between 25-30min (I know we placed our order before maybe 3-4 different groups and they received their orders before us. We waited outside in the car, made about 2 -3 check-ins on the time status. Kids enjoyed the Food unfortunately my nephew‘s order came incomplete instead of mac & cheese & mashed potatoes for his sides, they gave him double order of mash potatoes instead. It’s very seldom that I give negative ratings but at best It was a Mediocre experience.

I had Oohh’s & Aahh’s delivered since there’s no dine-in at this location, so I can’t really speak on the atmosphere or service. That said, the food itself was pretty good.
The macaroni and cheese was creamy and well done, and the hot honey chicken was flavorful with a nice balance of sweetness and heat. The strawberry cake was also a standout moist and enjoyable. The greens were decent but could use a bit more seasoning to really shine.
Overall, the food hit more than it missed, and I’d definitely recommend giving it a try, especially if you’re ordering delivery

The service is consistently good and the catfish is delicious. It's what I order every time I come here. The sides are a hit or miss for me but overall not bad.
The look and feel of the restaurant was not that of a welcoming one and with the exception of the cashier, the other employee was somewhat rude. In fact, we were the only ones in the restaurant, but we were asked to wait outside in the cold until our order was ready while someone simply getting warm was allowed to stay inside. The catfish was seasoned well, but the cabbage and macaroni and cheese were bland.
