Food was just okay at this Tenleytown diner. However, what was most disturbing was the abysmal service. When we were seated, we did not receive menus for several minutes. Then, it seemed like forever before our order was taken. When our food finally arrived, there were multiple mistakes. Speaking of food, there was nothing special. The kitchen didn't get my order right, though i de from the receipt that the server put it in correctly. I and the other customers all waited for quite a while. And strangely, the biscuits and gravy tasted a bit like blue cheese. I had been excited for the biscuits and gravy but was disappointed. It might have been an off day judging by other reviews, so I'll give them another chance

Cool diner interior with solid classic offerings. We enjoyed coming here for a Sunday brunch. Service wasn't great (generally slow and gruff) but it's a diner, so it's part of the experience. I recommend the omelettes. I had a country fried steak since I was curious, and the gravy tasted a bit too much like flour.
Otherwise, it's a fine place and good for the neighborhood to have.
