Excellent authentic Szechuan food. Has had impressive write ups and newspaper reviews through the years. Very close to National Arboretum.

We were on our trip to DC. By chance I pulled into the parking lot to check GPS. The wife suggested we grab a quick bite. The food was very decent. The waitress was not rude, but not polite either. Maybe that’s the thing with Chinese, we are not warm to our own kind.

This is the best Chinese food in DC. The place specializes in Sichuan and Sha'anxi style food, including lamb soup with pita (yang rou pao ma), and old favorite of mine from my semester abroad. I highly recommend going!

My wife and I were on a long road trip and just wanted some Asian food. We ended up here. It’s very fushioned, which means some dishes felt pretty real, others were totally Americanized. We only came in because the price was cheap. But what we got was better than expected. Taste was a bit above average, not super special, but totally fine for what we paid. I’d say it’s about 80 to 90 percent authentic. Food came out super fast. I also want to say that the front lady did a great job too. She explained the menu well, gave honest advice, and was fast and smooth with everything. I’d say this is a solid stop if you want decent Asian food without spending much.

They have a variety of foods available, but really only have canned drinks to order. Food was good though

Panda Gourmet is phenomenal. The food is so delicious, and the prices are great. The string beans, eggplant, Mongolian lamb, and spicy chicken are key highlights. Seriously, the food is phenomenal.
One note: Panda Gourmet is really designed for family style. Come with a group, 6 or more so that you can get the variety and also share the dishes. If you're just ordering for yourself, you'll probably miss out on some of the best, since a dish that is literally 100% green beans/eggplant with nothing else is a very weird meal even if the taste is amazing!
Food is actually decent, too bad the hostess was like having a bad day with no smile and jerk like attitude. Waitress was nice and quick though.

I ordered the shrimp and vegetables. The shrimp is AI. Not real shrimp?? What?? My 1st and last time!
Ugly hot and sour soup ..The soup had a lot of black pepper and the waitress had a very rude attitude, not at all friendly. She didn't smile.
This place has GREAT food. Good service and an acceptable atmosphere.
Their rice items were fresh but all of the chicken items were not new. They had some smell and chewy. We ordered orange chicken and chicken lomain, chicken fried rice, all were not tasty at all.
Arrived too the dimly lit restaurant right after they opened. There were no other patrons. The hostess/waitress greeted us and brought us to a table right next to the hostess stand. My baby was asleep and I didn't appreciate how inconsiderate the waitress was when she was breaking ice and pouring water noisily. When ordering my husband asked me my opinion on whether or not he would like a particular dish. Maybe the waitress misunderstood but she answered the question abruptly probably not realizing the question was not for her. When our food arrived she had brought out the dish that was in question before even though we nver said we wanted it. Subsequently a dish which we ordered was left out. The food was okay. We had a few cold dishes: sliced pig ?, wood ear, and century egg. For the main dishes we had sour cabbage fish soup and Mongolian Beef. Portions were all small except the soup. The beef was not tender and the soup lacked substance. I did not think any of the food was worth their costs but we were hungry and wanted to try something different and the food sufficed.
