Rather pricey but the food is excellent quality and the menu is expensive and not run of the mill. Atmosphere is wonderful and the service is also excellent. I recommend!

Nice decor, great service. Food is just ok. The peking duck was huge and very fatty and sliced thick. It also takes 45-60 min so we ordered 2 as soon as we sat down . The beef fried rice, dim sum , were all great.

I have heard about this place before decided to take my family there. I didn’t have super high expectations but expected reasonable service and food.First ambiance: good. Good vibe and feel. Par with this kind of restaurant at high rent location like this.Next food: it’s Chinese food. Some dish are good. (Lobster fried rice) some are overrated. Peking duck took forever (over an hour) to get to table. And it wasn’t worth the wait. Nothing to really write home about. Let’s just say you can get better stuff other places with less wait.Service: sub par. Individual servers are trying hard to please but they are woefully understaffed. Our table was full of old plates and empty drinks. Each drink took too long to arrive. Essentially I was eating and drinking in out of sequence. I was drinking martini when appetizers were there and drinking my wine after my food was already finished. Pekin duck didn’t arrive until all of our other entrees were finished. We were actually staring at our empty dishes for a while wondering if they will clear the table or they gonna somehow find space to put the duck. My last glass of wine never arrived. I didn’t bother to wait. I just close the tab and left.

Loud, yes. But it is okay. A party atmosphere. You sit close to others, but everyone talking fully mitigates that. Fun atmosphere. Not for a quiet romantic dinner, yet the digs and accroutrements are top notch. Place is popular for 3-6 drinks with dinner!

Philippe Chow is always a good choice! We stopped here for appetizers before going out into The Wharf. Don’t pass up their famous Chicken Satay! The waiter Roaa and attendant Jose were so nice!! They helped make our girls night much more special. I come here often so I’ll be back

The food was not as good as the New York City location I frequent. The ambience and the location were beautiful, however.

We had date night here on Friday. Everything was amazing! Our waiter was nice and attentive. The food and drinks were so good and the portions are huge! We will definitely be back next time we are in DC.

At Phillipe's, we had a delightful experience sitting at the bar on a Saturday. Ponce provided impeccable service—prompt and friendly. Rèda was equally attentive, courteous, making our dining experience top-notch. Delicious food, great drinks, and prompt service. Can't wait to return!

Place is lovely BUT lots to correct. First of all on your website, it says there is a certain attire that is required. Meanwhile a group of girls walked in looking like skateboarders with jeans, tennis shoes and half tops. Another group walked in with jeans, tennis shoes and T-shirts. The second group walked out on their tab, they are clearly letting anybody in. I noticed something was up with this group but wait staff didn’t notice. Very wrong for them to walk out on a tab. Food was okay, some good, some bland. Way overpriced for what it is. Won’t be going back or recommending. I expected a classy dinner and saw a lot of unorganized chaos and troubled folks taking advantage of that. Use more discernment.

I sat at the bar even though the atmosphere was kind of nice I felt very excluded from other customers. I usually order take out and it’s always a 10 but this time I tried fine and fine food and it was about a 4-5ish. I loved the fried rice because I didn’t feel the need to add soy sauce but everything else was alright. I would have appreciated a little bit of more attention but that’s besides the point.

The food was very bad, I would say even for Chinese take out standards, this food was worse. There was a lot of sugar in the sauces, the recipes had very unbalanced flavors, and some of the dishes downright tasted bad. I would say only thing on the menu that tasted okay was the duck, and the cocktails. The host did not know their own prefixe menus, and basically tried to convince us their two main pre fixe menus did not exist, even though it’s posted online.
