I got the #1 pho and a #34 egg rolls, which were both delicious. Pho 79 is definitely one of my favorite pho places, the broth they use is not too salty, and it is so flavorful. All the ingredients they use in the pho also seem like high quality, something that can’t be said for many pho places.
The egg rolls came with nuoc mam (fish sauce) and were also good. I do wish that they would come with lettuce and mint leaves though.

the best pho i have ever had... truly. the service was quick and the food was so fresh. i got the pho w rare beef and brisket $14.95. so flavorful i ate every bite. the bowl is huge you could say they served a VAT of pho. the grilled beef and vermicelli with spring rolls was also to die for. the meat was so tender, sweet, and umami. the man who took care of us was so kind and happy :))) so was the man who cooked and brought the food to the table. if i lived in DC i would eat here...

Stopped in here unexpectedly on a cold, windy day - totally hit the spot! For a very reasonable price you get a HUGE bowl of Pho that was out pretty quick. Ended up taking half of mine home just to finish it later that night. Waiter was super nice. I live in Alexandria but will be returning whenever I'm around the hill for sure.
