Outstanding flavors. Chocolate lovers, don't miss the dark chocolate sorbet!

Good but pricy! Delish options for gelato, tea, etc.

Best quality gelato this side of the Atlantic. Pistachio di Bronte, imported from Sicily, known by connoisseurs, most notable. Several chocolate and hazelnut flavors worth mentioning.

Very tasty for sure! A little pricey for my tastes

Oh my pitango! It was love at first sight and I can't find anything better. A scoop (don't be fooled by the word scoop, one scoop feels like a dozen) of soft creamy melted goodness. This place never fails me on a hot summer day. Choices galore, and so difficult to pick because every single selection tasted delicious! We went with the classic vanilla (can't go wrong with it) and the flavor of the day (opps forgot the name already) which is an infusion of caramel and hazelnut crunch. Took me to heaven!

Love this place! The sorbettos are all rich and creamy. And they have lots to choose from.

Love this place! It's not cheap, but it's worth it. The flavors are so much more interesting than the typical ice cream or froyo shop

Great (and delicious!) variety of flavors. Pricey though.

Stopped by after dinner for a quick dessert. The flavors we had were really good. It's priced a little high, but gelato always is. I recommend this place.

Not my cup of tea the gelato comes in a variety of flavors, but for me I do not prefer to be overcharged for an item because of the location or because gelato is considered gourmet ice cream. And the store location is hard to locate by the address given on GPS not easily visible from the street as you drive to the GPS location.

The gelatos and sorbets are so tasty and there are such great flavors! The matcha green tea and coconut gelatos are my favorite, as are the mojito and lemon sorbets! Yum! I highly recommend Pitango over Dolcezza for gelato in D.C.

I was excited to see gelato available near my Airbnb and I'm pretty disappointed. There was a lot of trash in the patio part of the entrance to the establishment. When I walked in I was surprised that the gelato was covered because traditionally it is viewable and garnished in some way. Most of the gelato was more liquid than solid. I wouldn't recommend personally.

3.5/5 rounded up. Walked over to Pitango after a quick tour of Capitol Hill/Library of Congress! They let us try as many flavors as we wanted, which was very nice of them since I'm an extremely indecisive person. They had half gelato and half sorbet offerings, almost all of the fruit flavors were sorbet. If you're looking for fruit gelato, this isn't it. But the sorbets all had creamy textures, and weren't icy or grainy. I got the chocolate, kiwi, and mango. Sounds like a weird combo but I think the tartness of the kiwi balanced out the sweet mango and chocolate scoops. I appreciate the amount they gave per scoop but there wasn't that much room left for the third scoop so it was smaller than the others. Not a huge deal but I would've liked to have been able to choose which one lol. I would say this is a great gelato spot with a huge spread of flavors that were all delicious (I tried almost all of them I swear).
