Ah this was so good. I think as some from Southern California (I know I know), this was really good. I got the carne asada and Al pastor taco. The carne asada was my favorite. It wasn't cooked to hell and was still tender. Very flavorful and they gave me a red and green salsa that just took it to the next level. Half the time, I rate taco places on their salsas and they really pulled through here. Really happy I visited.
Phenomenal. The pork tacos were some of the best I’ve had.
Very good tacos. Ingredients were fresh. Service was quick and friendly. They weren't the absolute best tacos I've had in DC but it's hard to find a sub $4 taco these days in the District. On a price/quality ratio metric they are killing it.

Plaza Teontepec is an excellent taco spot, considered among the best in the area and the DMV. The tacos are delicious, flavorful, authentic, and bomb. Favorites include the lamb barbacoa, carnitas tacos, and the good lengua. All the meat options are tender and tasty. The hand made tortillas are fresh and forever better than store bought ones. The salsas are really flavorful with enough spice, especially the green sauce. The owner is very welcoming and super nice. The place is highly recommended.
