This is the best Popeyes Chicken. I went to the one in Northwest and on Oxon Hill next to the Giant. This one tastes so much better. I don't know why. The signature hot wings are delicious here. The area is bad but the food is great.

A hood landmark on this side, always has been since it Malcolm X Ave was Portland Street. There's a tiny, crowded little vestibule but the service was good, the food was fresh and of good quality, and they're efficient. Don't let the neighborhood scare you away from that crispy deliciousnesss.
Bad customer service. I had a free side, and because they didn't have a scanner, I couldn't use it. The manager suggested that I go to another location.

Service was great and the food superb! I had the chicken sandwich. It was delicious! Hot, and I savored every bite. Well seasoned. The Mac n cheese was piping hot and creamy. The cold slaw was good. This is the best Popeye’s in DC. If I want Popeye’s, I’m driving all the way from Oxon Hill to MLK!

I visited early evening on 6/22/23, I think I may have found my Popeyes spot! They could potentially be the best DC location. Service was good and food was hot and fresh. They were out of my preferred dipping sauces, that's the only reason for 4 stars. Otherwise, 5 stars all day! Keep up the great work in Ward 8, thank you!
