Excellent food! Plenty of options for vegetarians. All five in the party were pleased with their meal. Very welcoming vibe. All the staff were friendly and seemed to enjoy working at Provost. If in the area again, would return for a meal.
We enjoyed our first time at Provost. The server was very attentive and the food very tasty. We will be back for sure.
Provost is a delightful brunch experience. The pancakes were lovely and everything is fresh, freshly made and makes for a light, but filling brunch. I love the warmth, the laid-back vibe and delicious food.
I went here for an intimate night with my man and I 100% got exactly that. Provost is a small restaurant with bar seating and booth seating. They also have intimate card games that are great for friend groups and partners that aid with learning new things about your friends and partner. I had the crab quesadillas, fries, sweet chili lollipop wings, & lemon drops. The drinks were a little on the weaker side but the food was good and the R&B music set the tone for an intimate evening. The service was 10/10. I had a great time and I would definitely return.
Great experience, we were seated immediately. The music in the restaurant was really good. I like that the menu is diverse with meat and plant based options. The owner was there and she is very nice
Malachi Legal and Strategic Services Team enjoyed our Meal at the Provost. Thank you for the delicious food and good service.
Excited to have quality dining experience in the neighborhood. Nice wine selection, food was inviting and atmosphere was quaint. Def will return to check out rooftop!
Wonderful brunch experience. Delish food and friendly staff. Had shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles. Yummy!
We were meeting a friend visiting from out of time and the noise level was low enough for easy conversation and we were able to linger and visit. The great staff kept our coffee and water topped up.

Everything was great! Service, food and environment was prompt, timely and flavorful! The snapper and spinach were delicious! The Corn bread and fried cabbage…you can avoid?. The Rooftop is small and intimate but clean and quaint. The music selection was great as well. It is next to other businesses so plan for street parking and maybe not as close to the restaurant as you’de like if you go when busy! But absolutely would go again!

My husband and I always try new restaurants after Church and my husband suggested trying Provost and I'm so thankful he did! This place is AMAZING from start to finish! The young lady who cared for us was an absolutely gem. I tried the honey bourbon and my husband ordered the Bees knees and both did not want to stop sipping our drinks.
We chose the Calamari and Seafood Chowder and both were perfectly cooked and we did not leave a spec of food on our plate; they were both spetacular! We chose the Lobster Pasta for our entree and decided to share, we both could not have been happier with the selection; words can not express the pleasure of taking another bite. The texture, taste and explosion of flavors was an experience that I've rarely had. The entire experience was perfection and had not enough so we chose to order desert and my mind was blown away!!! The Caramel Cheesecake melted in my mouth along with the a slight crunch to the caramel. Every dish ordered was phenomenal!!! I wish I could of taken more photos but I was too busy eating.
I cant wait to be back and try more of the Provost Menu. The chef is an artist and this restaurant is a treasure in our Nations Capital.

I really liked Provost. The atmosphere was electric, and the staff worked diligently. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded and a bit difficult to find seating IF you don't make reservations. The food is delicious and worth waiting for, so bring your appetite. The only recommendation I'd recommend is to "make it larger to accommodate more people."

The service was outstanding...I had a very unique drink from the server and the red snapper was phenomenal. We also tried the cheesecake for dessert and I was highly impressed. I will definitely return next week with more people to introduce to this gem.
It took us 40min to get water and 2hrs to get food. 2 servers total for the entire restaurant during Sunday brunch. One of the servers was also the bartender. Do not dine here until they can appropriately staff up.
