In the Tempo hotel. Food was amazing. A little pricey for the quantity but the quality was solid. Also, very convenient if staying at Tempo.
Ate breakfast here. Really good coffee that’s smooth and no bitterness or acidic profile, but the glass milk bottle to serve and leave the coffee table side is a miss because it’s too hot to touch. Then the coffee doesn’t stay hot the rest of the meal. Just serve little coffee pots instead. The burrito and the croissant entrees were both really flavorful. Public Interest is a great new restaurant in DC offering breakfast, dinner, and top notch service. The menu has something for everyone, with reasonably priced and approachable options. For breakfast, the burrito and the croissant entrees were really flavorful, and the coffee is smooth with no bitterness or acidic profile. For dinner, the lobster ravioli and asparagus are amazing. The scallops are a favorite, and the Halibut is great as well. The steak came out perfect medium rare, and the garlic butter is very flavorful. The fish and lamb are excellent, served aesthetically and beautifully, though the lentil side dish and vegetables were oversalted. The shrimp app is fresh, and the crème brûlée, vanilla ice cream, and apple pie are excellent. Drinks include a smooth Signature Old Fashioned and a refreshing cucumber Collin’s. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is liked. The restaurant is a definite hit and a new favorite spot.
