This is the best place in DC kid you not
The pupusas were delicious and generously filled!
Amazing pupusas!
Great papusas. We liked the jalapeño papusa the most.
Elizabeth’s Pupusa and Deli is a hidden gem conveniently located at 14th St. NW and Quincy St. NW. This little restaurant serves up some truly delicious food, especially their pupusas! They have a decent-sized indoor seating area if you prefer to dine in, although almost everyone gets their food to go. Everything is very reasonably priced. The staff is warm, welcoming, and always friendly. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!
So it’s been awhile since I ate Pupusas outside of mi Tia’s, where they are superior to all others. Well, these came close. Visit. I was disappointed in the frijoles but I didn’t go there for those. Large and juicy. Yum.
Every time I've come here I remember why I want to come back! I love the pupusas and they're always filling enough to have as a light lunch or snack. I've had 3-4 different kinds now and have loved them all. It's always a little bit of a wait, but that's because they make them to order which is LOVELY. Can't beat the price either! I always see people in and out when I'm waiting for my pupusas and it seems like regulars, lovely place! I hope to go back more when it's a little warmer outside!
best pupusas I've ever had! when you walk in, you just know it's going to be good - old school feeling. an excellent afternoon snack before grabbing a drink across the street.

Really good food
The food they gave me looked like it was already spoiled. The cheese and cream was bitter as if they forgot to put it in the fridge. The sauce was just oil and the eggs were burnt, everything underneath was black and they still put it on my plate. The bananas were overripe because they are sour.

Decent pupusas, but not worth a repeat visit, especially given the excellent options in the neighbourhood. The reviews are correct in stating that the pupusas are quite small. The fillings were also not very generous: the pork and cheese had barely any pork. The cabbage slaw that came with it was underseasoned. On the plus side, the pupusas were nice and soft on the inside and slightly crisp on the outside.

We grabbed some pupusas to go with our drinks at a dive bar in the neighborhood. Absolutely delicious! They grilled them to order and included all the pupusa essentials...tomato sauce, slaw, etc. I'm partial to the bean and cheese version but the pork was also excellent. There's not much in the way of atmosphere, but that's not what you are here for: you're here for pupusas.Service is friendly and to-the-point.
