Puro Gusto Cafe in West Hollywood is a hidden gem that I recently discovered, and I'm so glad I did! The cozy ambiance and friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Drinks are ok. The ordering experience is horrific. You have to use the touch screens to find the drink you want and attempt to customize if desired. Good luck finding some of the items from their menu. It also takes several times longer to order through this method compared with placing an order with an individual. With so many coffee places in the city, I would not recommend this place.

Yikes yikes yikes. Came in for breakfast and definitely not coming back. As others shared, the pastries are stale. I asked if I could have a fresh pastry or is this just how it is, and they responded that is how it is because it sits in the refrigerated display. Terrible. Coffee is good so there's that. I eat out a lot and equally enjoy dives and Michelin star restaurants. My only requirement is that the food tastes good and is fresh. This isn't it. Panera Bread is fresher...and that is obviously saying a lot.We go to Italy quite a bit but we never expect croissants like we have there. The issue is the croissant sandwich we were served did not look like the picture and was obviously not fresh which the picture implied.The comfy seats are all stained from where food was wasted making it an unappealing place to sit. Another missed opportunity to use a different seating type for these chairs to make them easier to clean. So weird. Do not see this place lasting another year unless corporate has a lot of money to burn.

This is the worst cafe place I have ever been to… and I’ve been to a lot. For background, I was in DC for one day. Considering it’s the capital of the country, I’d expect the establishments in the area to be of high quality. However, this cafe complete de-established this idea for me. To start off, customers are not acknowledged as they are walked in. This is not a big deal but it makes a difference in these types of atmospheres. The store itself was not very clean as well. For my food, I ordered a Nutella Cornetto ($6.50) and it was so bad I threw it away. The croissant itself tasted weeks old and was so dry that it hurt to bite into. In addition to the aged cornetto, I ordered a salted caramel latte ($6.97) … worst coffee i’ve ever had. I took one sip and could not bear to take another, so that also ended up in the trash. I wish I had gone to Corner Bakery Cafe across the street (which I went to after my terrible experience with this cafe) where I was treated with delicious food and perfect customer service. If you are thinking of entering this store, I highly recommend you rethink your decision.
