Pretty great Japanese food. I sort of wish the szechuan ramen was a bit spicier, but it was still tasty. The curry and chicken cutlet were so well done. Nice, crispy, and flakey. Their menu is also huge, would definetly come back again to try more thinga.

We really enjoyed our experience at Rakuya! Our waitress was so friendly even when I asked questions on how to pair items on my brunch chosuku set. We had the chosuku set, chicken & waffles, crunchy salmon roll, and bottomless mimosas. Our plates were CLEAR when we were finished. Great portion sizes. Not only was the food authentic but the brunch prices for two were amazing (<$100 with 25% tip!). We all know how expensive DC can get! Great place for a solo day, date night or an introduction to real Japanese cultural food. I cannot wait to come back with friends and family.

I have been a loyal Rakuya customer for 5 years now. I am never disappointed with the sushi because the fish is always fresh. The service is stellar and it is an awesome spot for a date night! They also have an amazing happy hour and a nice patio setup during the summertime. Check out their lunch specials!
I didn't realize that they put spice into the tonkotsu, but it wasn't incredibly spicy (and I have a relatively low spice tolerance).

Amazing food, cozy atmosphere, awesome service !!! The sodas can get watery but again, you’re here for the food, not the soda. They don’t take Discover cards and that would have been great to know before we paid, but other than that, an amazing experience, thank you to the entire team!
