Rappahannock Oyster Bar is a true gem at The Wharf. Perfect for a casual lunch, date night, or drinks by the water. The oysters are incredibly fresh and perfectly shucked — easily some of the best in D.C. Great martinis, fresh tasty oysters and salad.... friendly service, nice river view. Server brought fried oyster po'boy instead of fried oyster basket that I ordered, but I didn't make a fuss and it was delicious anyway.
This is the not the wharf that I grew up with. The restaurant was definitely unique. Great for summer eating. Not sure how warm it would be on a fall evening. My only complaint was that the tables were very close together. I liked that they had a 90 minute time limit on tables. I would definitely visit again when going to see a show at the anthem.
