I went to Realm rooftop last night and was honestly shocked at how many people still came out with snow on the ground. The rooftop was beautiful and the ambience was sexy. The DJs were really great the entire night.
I didn’t try the food but I did grab drinks at the bar. Watching Emani work actually made me want to get into bartending myself. She stayed calm the entire time even though it was really busy on her side, and at one point I watched her make 6 different drinks at once in the metal things and she did it so fast 😳. When I asked how she kept up, she said she was in a “flow state” and called it “round building”. Yes I took notes! Very inspirational young lady and didn’t get irritated with my many questions.
She made my husband and I gin forward Long Islands like we asked, well balanced gin gimlets, and suggested mezcal Negronis instead of gin, which were amazing. When I asked for lemonade, she made it from scratch 🥹🫂
Great music, great drinks, great bartender and a really fun night even with snow on the ground.

I decided to visit the Realm Rooftop Bar and Lounge on a Wednesday evening after it snowed, while on my lunch break. The hostess greeted Me pleasantly and sent me up to the Rooftop on the Elevator. I was greeted promptly by the hostess at the Top. The ambiance was beautiful. I didn't have a reservation and sat at the bar. The Bartender was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the Tamararind-Glazed Lamb Lollipops. They came out quick and was delicious. They had plenty of bar seats, table seating and couch seating areas. The lighting was dim giving upscale sexy. The bathrooms were individual unisex and were clean with the sink in the outside.

Unfortunately, the night started off poorly. The lamb chops tasted funny, and the jerk fried rice was extremely salty. The bar was also very crowded due to a birthday event, and there was a confrontation involving Latino bartenders and a waiter. The bartenders took off their aprons and appeared ready to fight in front of customers. The tall bartender openly said “B.A.N.” during the incident, which was shocking and inappropriate, especially given this is a Black-owned business and a bar full of Black patrons. That kind of language, with all its negative connotation and history was deeply unsettling. It made it seem like that staff member felt comfortable using such slurs casually, and there was also no representation of US behind the bar, which was disappointing.
Management attempted to step in but the bartenders walked off, so everyone had to wait even longer for drinks. The incident was unprofessional and completely ruined the vibe.
That said, the rooftop itself is beautiful. The DJ was the highlight of the night and really made the experience better. I followed him on Instagram.
Simply because the staff I saw that night were super unprofessional, and the history of that word is a sensitive topic, I just don’t feel comfortable returning. That comment in the heat of the moment stuck with me the most, and it’s not a place I can recommend.

This place had the type of vibes you can’t wait to tell a friend about. You take an elevator upstairs abt two stories high and once you get up there you never want to come down! Drinks were on point music was touching the soul and the food just elevates this place over anything else in the area! This is the new spot for sure!

The aesthetic was very sleek classy, romantic, space. Perfect ambiance for a cute date night out drink with your friends. The menu was definitely on the affordable side, but trust that you are paying for snack-size plates. I assume it is because lounge, but don’t believe it justifies two sliders being more than $20.
Nonetheless, I look forward to come back closer to summertime!

I celebrated here last night for my husband’s birthday party and I want to add that the service was absolutely phenomenal, I mean stellar! We planned this gathering last minute and we had a larger party show up than anticipated and the manager, hostess and waitress was more than accommodating! This is so refreshing for the D.C. market! We loved our food and drinks and we will definitely be back for the service alone! Thank you for making his day so special!

On December 20th my 3 daughters and I had dinner at Realm Rooftop Bar. We had been hearing all the buzz and wanted to check it out! Upon our arrival, we were blown away by the ambiance! It was classy, sexy and the view was outstanding! From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and attentive. The tapas style menu had various uniquely decadent dishes and we tried MOST of them. Absolutely delicious! We each tried a different cocktail and they were exquisite. Last but not least, the dessert was so tasty and satisfying. On a scale from 1-10, this place is a 20 for sure! Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You can thank me later!

Very classy rooftop spot! They were able to accommodate for larger groups. This is a tapas style restaurant with an interesting twist on many items. Highly recommend the fried rice, broccolini, lamb chops, and cheesecake for dessert. We did not like the short rib tacos.

The tapas-style food was excellent—perfect for sharing and sampling a variety of flavors. The ambiance was elegant, upscale, and luxurious, with low lighting that creates the perfect setting for a date night or a stylish catch-up with your girls.
