I love this place. At first it was a little weird since the host made us wait to sit at the bar in the same 2 available seats I had scoped from the alley. But we won't let that awkward encounter take anything away from the delicious food and drinks. Gar was our bartender and he is phenomenal. I ordered the cevichelada and that did not disappoint. The restaurant is in on a block sandwiched between row houses. The atmosphere is cozy and there’s a lot of excellent lighting. I am vegan, they accommodated me so well, and they had a great tofu and mushroom taco option!! I can’t wait to come back, and the serving staff were wonderful.

But one thing I find weird is the insistence on scanning the QR code and having to pay that way too. I’m with the boomers on this one but I don’t want to have to scan anything to order food. Even as something as a coffee, I have scan and pay rather than just ask the bartender.
