I came here for dinner because I had heard good things about it online. The restaurant was very small. It has only a few tables and a bar with a couple of barstools located by the front door. Despite how small it was I had no problem getting a table because it was pretty empty. Unfortunately the service was kind of disappointing. My server was nice but she didn't introduce herself, explain the menu, or even ask me if I had any allergies. She just asked what I wanted. I decided to try a few appetizers and then one of the ramen soups. For the appetizers I ordered the takoyaki, vegetable dumplings, and the crazy fish. I got the dumplings first. The wrapper for the dumplings wasn't a normal dumpling wrapper. It was green and made of a veggie substitute so it was steamed which made it kind of mushy and it fell apart when you tried to pick it up with chopsticks or a fork. The filling for the dumplings had no flavor. All of the flavor came from the dumpling sauce. Honestly I wasn't a fan of the dumplings but all of the other options for dumplings were pork which I don't eat so that was my only option which wasn't great. Next came the takoyaki. I thought this was pretty decent. While this wasn't the best I have ever had I did like that they didn't drown it in sauce like a lot of places do. After that came the crazy fish. This was also disappointing. The fish was a battered and fried white fish. It was cooked well and was nice and flakey. Unfortunately this also had no flavor. I thought that they would at least season the batter but they didn't. They sauteed onions and garlic and put it on top of the fish as a garnish. I didn't finish it. It was at this point that the service went downhill. I finally ordered the grilled chicken ramen but because they only had pork or veggie broth I asked for veggie broth as a substitute and I asked for no green onions. The server had repeated "veggie broth" and "no green onions" so I know she heard my requests. They ramen came out and it had veggie broth but they had put green onions in even though I had said not to. I was not convinced that the meat in my soup was chicken. The meat that was in there looked a lot like pork so I didn't eat it. The noodles and veggies were fine but once again the broth had no flavor. At this point I had no desire to stay so I paid and left to find food elsewhere. They may have other choices that are better but honestly I have no desire to find out. If you want to go to try this place feel free but personally I will not be back

Pretty good and mostly authentic food. I had the grandmas pancake which were fantastic, the dry cauliflower which was fine, and the dan dan ramen which was a disappointment.
On the dan dan ramen… The flavors were mostly all there but the lack of broth made mixing everything together for good heterogeneity of flavor damn near impossible. I ended up with noodles that barely had any flavor what little broth there was, and a lot of pork and peanuts at the bottom of the bowl. More broth! Thicker broth!

This was the worst Chinese food I’ve had in DC. The dan dan noodles were decent, but the beef noodle soup was disappointing—just three thin slices of beef with way too much MSG. The service was terrible.
On top of that, I bought a gift card three years ago, and now they’re telling me I can’t use it because they changed their system. They blamed me for not using it sooner, with no apology or alternative solution.

I ordered the Kung fu ramen and the waiter told me it wasn't too spicy but honestly it wasn't spicy at all. I wanted at least mild. Other than that the Kung fu ramen was really good. Would definitely go back and order.

This is the worse restaurant I’ve ever been. I took a guest to order some food, they don’t allow us to sit, the waitress is very rude to ask us to not sit at the table. Crazy! I ended up canceling the order. If you want insults feel free to go.

Don’t eat in this restaurant. My daughter and I got upset stomachs with vomits every two hours after having dinner in this restaurant. It is our second day in Washington DC and we cannot go out. Instead we are in the hotel room waiting for feeling better. Also, they charge an automatic 18% tip on the bill even though the menu said that the 18 % tip would be added for parties of 5. We were four: My wife, my son, my daughter and myself. The reason my wife and my son did not get upset stomachs was because they ordered different dishes.

The food was not very good. I suggest finding another place. Ramen was too salty and lacked flavor. No sauce was offered. It was basically a huge bowl of noodles. Description said creamy, but yet not. I decided to order the pancakes. They were so greasy. Maybe the temp grease was not hot enough. The restroom and restaurant were clean.

They serve chinese dry noodle, not fresh lamen. The broth is salty and plain. Most previous reviews are over rated.

Ordered 2 different bowls of noodles. The amount of noodles is just low. I am not a big eater at all. One bowl can’t make a normal guy full.
My bowl of Xi'an Saozi Noodles was watery, with only a few pieces of braised pork belly and chopped cabbage. There was very little noodles, and I was not full at all. It cost more than 50 for two people, and I wasn’t full yet. Why………

The food could have come out of the freezer. Not a fan of the soup dumplings or the chicken lamen. Neither matched their picture or description. While the service was lack luster, this place is clean, we got our food quickly, and the environment was pleasant.

The Xiao Long Bao and the pork dumplings were flavorful, the ramen was rich and delicious, and the chicken fried rice and drinks were good too. Worth a visit!
