Brought a corporate group (15) for espresso martini making and dinner. The ambiance was festive and welcoming. The bartender who lead the class was informative, skilled and fun. The meal was delicious. It was seamless to set up the event and we knew what we were getting. Thank you team!

A very meh experience, to be honest. I reserved a seat in the indoor dining area, and when I got there, they briefly sat me and then said they need to relocate me to the outdoor patio. I wasn’t too excited by that since it’s January, but they did turn on the heaters. After that, they repeatedly seated people near us so that they were cramming everybody to one corner - the seats are small and not that comfortable. Music was loud, but fine since it’s brunch I guess. Decor is cute and vibey. Service was okay and food came out quickly, but about one hour and 15 minutes in, they were repeatedly reminding us that we only had two hours. They told us to leave one hour and 50 minutes into the reservation because the next reservation was there and they needed to clean our table. All in all, this policies seems a bit strict, and they could’ve been much more gracious about the whole thing, particularly considering they changed our table- like if it’s a two hour policy, at least give us the full two hours. The food was OK, but nothing to write home about. I had the Caesar salad sandwich and my friend had the residence plate. Again, totally fine, but overpriced. I wouldn’t go back considering there are options with better food and that will let you hang out longer without trying to rush you out.

Nice interior with the ceiling floral design. Great date-night spot. About $40 per person. Ordered 4 large plates (octopus, fish, risotto, etc) and they were all solid. The staff were friendly as well.

Came here for my best friend’s birthday brunch (visiting from out of town) and we had the best experience!! Brandon greeted us with the biggest smile and made us feel so welcome. Our server Erlin was so friendly and helpful, definitely ask for him! The vibes were great and the food was incredible definitely coming back whenever I’m in DC!

The Residents team delivered a smashing holiday party for our group of 40+. Starting with Debbie’s excellent guidance and support, which entailed being personally engaged (and always with smile and style!) through the event’s finale on a busy Friday evening, and extending to the entire friendly staff, the atmosphere and service could not have been better. Throw in excellent beverages and a creative menu that hit all the right high notes and you have a recipe for success. Our group celebrated in style, and everyone gave rave reviews. We will be back!

This is a great place with excellent drinks and bites. However, the steak tartare was taken off the menu, which is a favorite of people who frequent Residents. Hopefully they bring it back for at least a season.

What a gem in DC! Incredible food, beautiful ambiance, and an espresso martini that deserves its own spotlight easily the best I’ve had in the city. A must-visit for great vibes and even better cocktails! An easy decision to get brunch lunch or dinner.

Such a cute restaurant! Loved the spring/summer lemon decor. The apps were okay but the risotto was really comforting. Okay drinks!

Best risotto! We had 9pm table on Saturday. Food was great, drinks delicious, atmosphere super. DJ was keeping spirits up with superb track. We had great night.
Service was very slow and wait for drinks way to long. We waited so long at one point that restaurant just took the drink of the bill but still delivered drink after all.
I would definitely go back, assuming they were short staffed that evening.
No photos, we waited long foe food and drinks so as soon as we had it delivered there was no time to document heheh

Cute atmosphere and great decorations. However, food is very overpriced for portion sizes. The beef skewers were $14 and had only four pieces of beef in total. The mushroom risotto was a very small portion with no protein for $28. Nothing was incredibly wonderful taste wise to warrant the price either.

Cocktails were great, one of the best espresso martinis I’ve had, but all cost around $16-20 and took very long to come out the entire night - at least 20 minute wait. We received the beef skewers far before our drinks and we ordered the drinks much earlier than the skewers.

They also had a dj which can be fun but the music was so loud you had to yell to be heard at your table if you’re near the speaker.

For the service rating, the servers themselves were great but the wait time was rough. Nothing on them, they were likely understaffed for the crowd.

As a whole, cute but not worth it. Would not go back.

The saffron scones were absolutely lovely. Both of our brunch orders were quite nice too. The atmosphere is almost charming with seasonal decor and pillows making it cozy, but it smells like homeless people are using the covered patio at night and some scented candles or something to cover up the smell of urine would make it easier to justify spending $100 for a table of 2.
