Been to Rooster & Owl a few times in the last couple of years. I was there last Friday and was disappointed with the service; not Michelin star quality service. Service felt rushed, they served drinks after dinner was served, and they took my drink before I had finished it. A little disappointing overall.
Top notch service only added to the incredible experience we had at Rooster and Owl. We came in during restaurant week on my birthday.
Chose the 4 course for $80. Loved that they surprised me with a small birthday treat, it was like an iced cream on a wafer, very delicious!
The gnocchi was hands down the best thing I’ve eaten all year and I’ll crave it forever.
The bread rolls with the miso butter were so good I had to inquire if they sold them separately...

Lovely restaurant in DC, the desserts here are super good, I enjoyed the key lime pavlova which had phenomenal flavors. I will say the short rib was cooked perfectly however the fat cap seemed to be left on and it was a bit chewy.
