The food was absolutely delicious. Every thing. Service a bit slow because restaurant was packed but friendly and good effort. Very loud place so don't go if you want great conversations with your dining partners. But very fun and lively.

Gladly went through the chaotic traffic (due to the snows from last weekend) to get to Rumi today. The khask badenjoon, grilled shrimp, fesenjoon, and soltani were perfectly made. The staff members were also attentive. The ambience was also good (not as packed as typical Saturday's lunchtime and less people coughing or blowing their noses).

We find Remi's to be one of the best Persian restaurants in DC. Their cocktail options are elegantly crafted with a taste to match. The environment sets the tone for a vibey experience that you and your family/friends will enjoy. As for the food, there hasn't been one dish we've tried where we weren't impressed. Their culinary skills along with flavors are hard to find anywhere in the US. Let alone DC.

I’ve tried their koobideh, barg, and shirin polo. The barg kabob and shirin polo were absolutely excellent—definitely dishes I’d come back for on my next visit to DC.
The koobideh was just okay in comparison, so if you’re deciding between the two, don’t hesitate to order the barg.
The interior design was also lovely and added to the overall experience.

This is an experience not to be missed. I visited in January 2022 and I'd been thinking of those flavors ever since. The flavors are 👌 every dish is 🤌 excellent from presentation, flavor, ingredients, cooked well. I finally visited again in January 2026. I couldn't possibly leave without revisiting Rumi's so I consolidated my takeout order for my flight home.

I can't wait to got back again. They know how to do everything right here. The food, the atmosphere and the staff are all excellent. I loved every single bite of food. The decor is unique and great. My serve was Trudie, and you could not ask for more. I let her know that I am vegan and she immediately showed me all of the vegan options, and shared information about them. The food and my drink were all top-notch. I am soooo ready to go back any time!

stopped in during lunch without a reservation. The place was pretty busy, so I’m not sure if that’s the norm or if there was an event going on. As a solo diner, I sat at the bar, which worked out well. The bartender was very informative and offered great food recommendations. Everything suggested was spot on and enjoyable.
The price point felt a bit high for a casual lunch, but it also didn’t seem like the restaurant was aiming to be a quick-bite kind of place.
One downside was that the bathroom could have used some attention.
Overall, I’d go back.
