disappointing. the food is okay, not terrible. i have a small stomach and it wasn't super filling as a bowl of ramen usually is. it wasn't as mind blowing as the other reviews hyped it up to be. not something worth going into dc for.
The best meal I had while visiting in DC - it was really a great experience. The flavours in the “Shoki Bowl” I ordered was so great, I didn’t want to fill up on my food. The chef & owner came to greet and mention the menu items to our table - a great personal touch. I don’t eat ramen often, but I would go back to Sakuramen any day…
Others have said it so I’ll double down: best ramen in DC. Ramen comes out quickly and in large portions. Recommend adding an egg to your tonkotsu. I’m always able to wrap mine up for the next day too. Would also recommend the pork bao as an appetizer.
